Art's Impact on Society

The document discusses the role and power of art in society. It agrees that art can take many forms and be interpreted differently. While art is important for sharing culture and perspectives, the document argues that real change comes from action, not just art. It is up to individuals to work for positive change from within themselves and society. Art can influence society by introducing new ideas and values, but true progress requires going beyond old cultures through rule-breaking and advocating for relevant values of the present day.

ART, ART KA DIYAN!

1. What are your initial reactions when you watched the video? Do you agree or
disagree? Why?

It’s amazing how a single video can manage to create a wave of perspective
that bridges to more than just one. I like how it lets me enjoy the way they have
delivered instances relating to art through mixtures of facts, disagreement, views,
and a little bit of laughter.

I honestly felt the ignorance in me, because at some point in life, I somehow
ignored the fact that everything can be an art and that everything is a masterpiece
— no matter how small or big it is. I agree with the video, but not completely. Art
really does have different ways of manifesting beliefs. It is just a matter of how
we interpret it, or how we are going to look into it to express it the way we are
supposed to. Art plays a vital role in our society because it portrays our culture,
and it provides ideas that we will be needing to improve our surroundings and
even our current situations. Engaging with art, there are always connections
created between individuals like the artist and the audience. Also, it is an
expressive connection with our different emotions, perspectives, views, opinions,
facts, talents, meanings, and so much more. A CONNECTION TO LIFE.
Reflecting on the realities such as social issues, this connection perhaps enables
us to share with each other what we have and what we are proud of. Through
these, there will be influences. Art shows and speaks. However, I also want to
include that speaking of timely issues, we can't depend mainly on art when crisis
is on the topic. What we really need is a louder voice that will shout/send a signal
that people are suffering, a pair of bright eyes who will see the reality that's been
happening in our society, and good governance that will ease our sufferings. On
the other hand, that's just our back-up for what we are experiencing; the real deal
is in our own hands. We are responsible for our own destiny. It is not with the art
or with other people. It is within us, change starts inside us, if we just put our
mind to it. Nonetheless, art is a powerful masterpiece

2. How will answer the questions: "How do you think art can change society?"

Actually, it is not only the art itself that can change the society. It is what the
artist wants to express or convey with the art that they're making. Opinions and
perceptions of people towards arts have an impactful effect on our society
because it influence our decision-making and how we are going to handle certain
situations. Every interpretation that we choose to believe whenever we see
something around us, reflects the way we look at things and the actions that we're
going to execute. Moreover, I can say that artists are good invaders because
they're instilling new ideas and knowledge into people; a great way to make a
change for the betterment of our society. Most of the time, people tend to break
rules in order to outgrow old cultures that are actually not helping nowadays, and
I think that's how artists help change society, by continuing to advocate values
that are relevant in today's time, and they contribute to that values through their
masterpiece.
