P.D (E)/568 dated 13.02.2023. Dear Sir, This has reference to the subjected matter and associated correspondence quoted above. The Concessionaire has submitted the following General Arrangement Drawings (GAD) for Major Bridge at Ch, 398+989 vide its letter no. 568 as cited at 5 above for our review and approval. SI. Hence, the duly signed reviewed GAD of above Major Bridge is released for construction subjected to the following conditions: 1. Suitability of the Elastomeric Bearings shall be checked at the time of design as marked in the drawings. This Major Bridge is at'CRZ location. Hence, this bridge shall be designed, constructed and maintained as per the requirements of CRZ Department. The designs and drawings of this Major Bridge shall be prepared in consultation with concerned authority and concurrence shall be obtained from concerned authority before construction. 3. Since, this bridge is in marine environment, corrosion prevention monitoring and remedial measures as are required shall be taken as per IRC:SP:80-2008, 4. This Major Bridge shall be designed for severe exposure condition as per IRC:112-2020. Stainless steel reinforcement (SS 550) shall be used in construction as per IRC:112-2020 and IS: 16651:2017 5. Exposed concrete surfaces shall be protected by applying acrylic elastomeric coating confirming to IRC:SP:80-2008 Clause 6.5.1/ Clause 2808 of MoRTH Specifications. 6. The formwork shall conform to the requirements of Section 1500 of MoRT&H Specifications for Road and Bridge Works with respect to materials, design, workmanship, lining, precautions, preparation, removal, re-use, etc. of formwork. The Concessionaire shall furnish the design and drawing of complete formwork (i.e. the forms as well as their supports) to the IE for its review and comments before any erection is taken up. 7. All personnel shall wear the Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) during construction and shall follow the safety norms. 8. The Concessionaire shall submit the detailed construction methodology for Major Bridge to the IE for its review and comments before commencement of the construction works. 9. Pursuant to Clause 41.6, Article 41 of CA, the above reviewed GAD and comments shall not relieve or absolve the Concessionaire from its obligations, duties and liabilities under the CA, Applicable Laws and Applicable Permits; and the IE & Authority shall not be liable to the Concessionaire in the above context.
