If you have stock of specific material and stored in different storage locations in your company.
So here by stock determination you can make your own strategy to manage the goods issue take
from your storage locations.
According to
i) Item which meaning Storage Location or
ii) Quantity of stock or even price
And their priority

In our scenario we will set priority to quantity ascending (from less SLOC quantity
to bigger SLOC) then item table descending

In Customizing for the corresponding application, assign a stock determination rule to the
business transaction.
The assignment to the movement type takes place in inventory management.
