Xiamen Island. Anciently known as Jiahe

Island, also known as Heron Island.
Xiamen is a sub-provincial city in Fujian
Province, a special economic zone, and an
important center, port and scenic tourist
city along the southeast coast.

Xiamen is located in the southeastern tip of

Fujian Province, bordered by Zhangzhou in
the west, Quanzhou in the north, and
Jinmen and Datan Island in the southeast.
Xiamen is a major city in the southern
Fujian region, where the southern Fujian
dialect is spoken. Xiamen is the main city
in southern Fujian, and is also known as the
Xiamen-Zhangzhou-Quanzhou Golden
Triangle Economic Zone.

It is separate into 6 shore: Siming, Huli,

Tongan, Haicang, Jimei and Xiangan

History
Nanputuo Temple was built in the late Tang
Dynasty, initially known as "Si Zhou Yuan", the
Northern Song Dynasty monk Wen Cui
remodeling called "endless rock". At the end
of the Ming Dynasty, monk jueguang moved to
build in front of the mountain, halls and
courtyards are complete

Xiamen's eighth market is commonly known as
the "Eight Markets", usually referred to as the

Xiamen Zhongshan Road (AmoiYatSenRoad),
Known as Dahan Road during the Japanese
colonial era (1933-1945), Zhongshan Road is
about 1.2 kilometers long, starting from the ferry
Lujiang Road in the west, spanning the
demarcation point between Siming South Road
and Siming North Road in the middle, and
reaching Xinhua Road in the east and
connecting with Park South Road. Since its
opening, it has been the leading commercial
and economic center of Xiamen.

History
Xiamen Harbor has a crescent-shaped bay with
a one-kilometer stretch of bright white sandy
beaches called Yushapo, with Shapotou to the
east and Shapawei to the west. Historically, this
sheltered harbor is a natural formation of a bay
that extends into the sea, with shallow water
and a narrow mouth, crowded with fishing boats.
In the 1990s, a fishery industry zone was formed
here, including fishing boat factories, shipyards
and other one-stop services, and the number of
fishery employees reached 6,000 at the most.

History
XThe community of Tsang Chu Aun, also known as
"Tsang Lee", "Tsang Ka Wo" and "Tsang Ka
Wan", has a history of more than 500 years.
During the Ming Dynasty, it was the berthing
place for merchant ships in Haicheng's Yuekang
harbor. Ships from Haicheng to overseas had to
go to Xiamen for inspection and docked at
Zengcuo Aun to take shelter from the wind and
wait for news. After the Xinhai Revolution, the
Kuomintang (KMT) set up the Naval Aviation
Office and an airfield in Zengcuo Aun.

have been harassing the southeastern coast
of China. In the Hongshan Temple set up near
the barrier road mouth called "Zhennan
Pass". Later, at the mouth of the sea to build
