RATIONALE
Macramé adds texture and a certain natural element because of the type of
rope used, so it’s a great way to balance hard lines and surfaces. The obvious ways
to use it include plant hangers and wall hanging, but you can also use macramé on
cushions (for a super textured throw pillow cover) or baskets. Macramé can create a
nice organic point of interest in a space that seems cold or louse. Handmade
macramé is often organically shaped and can add a natural element. Life indoors is
adding another string to their bow with macramé indoor plant hangers. Macramé
indoor plant hangers have come swinging into fashion among interior plants capers.

PROCEDURE:
1. Start by getting your plant situated in its new pot. I recently wrote a post all
about how and when to re-pot houseplants so you can read all about that
process here.
2. You will start your DIY macramé plant hanger by cutting 8 long pieces of the
cotton macramé cord cut the pieces into 10 feet long.
3. We will secure them in place using the wrapped knot. You will need another
piece of cord for this knot, use the one has the length of two feet.
4. Next is doing a row of square knots, start by dividing your 16 long strands into
four of four strands each.
5. Next, we will make another row of square knots a bit below our first’s row
these knots will be made over group of four strands, you will take two cord
each from adjacent group of four-one center cord and the right from one and
one center and the left from others.
6. Measure how far below your second row of knots, measure how far to be.
7. All that left to do is insert your planter and hang it up. Take care to carefully
sort your plant branches between the groups of cord and make sure that the
book you hang your planter from is securely attached to ceiling and able to
handle the plant weight.
