CIRRUS AIRPLANE MAINTENANCE MANUAL CHAPTER 5-10: TIME LIMITS

VISION SF50 GENERAL

Time Limits
5-10: TIME LIMITS

1. General

Cirrus recommends the following items be overhauled or replaced at the following intervals or
On Condition. These maintenance items must be incorporated into a 100 Hour or Annual inspec-
tions as applicable. To ensure correct observation of these times, the date of removal, installation,
or overhaul of such components, as well as the airplane’s flight hours must be entered into the
Service Time Record filed in the Airplane Maintenance Log. If it is anticipated that the component
time limit will occur before the next applicable required inspection, it must be incorporated in the
current required inspection.
• NOTE •
The maintenance items listed in this section include all Mandatory Replacement Time items
from the Airworthiness Limitations section. (Refer to 4-00)
The recommended periods do not constitute a guarantee that the item will reach the period
without malfunction as in-service factors cannot be controlled by the manufacturer.
“On Condition” items are to be repaired, overhauled, or replaced when inspection or perfor-
mance of these items reveal a potentially unserviceable or unsafe condition.
The date on the “ORIGINAL STANDARD AIRWORTHINESS CERTIFICATE,” FAA Form No. 8100-2,
which is issued with a new airplane, is to be used as the basis for all inspected components listed
in the following schedules.
• CAUTION •
Airplane control surface balance is critical to flight safety. Broken/missing static wicks or
removal/addition of any paint or body filler to a control surface requires that the control surface
be re-balanced. (Refer to 55-00)
