Switch setting

Note: Switch S2 is only used when providing 24 VDC to TB1.

When the 4-ANNCPU is installed in a remote annunciator, switch S2 is
used to configure the 4-ANNCPU for redundant (OFF) or non-
redundant (ON) power wiring for TB1. When the 4-ANNCPU is
4-ANNCPU Annunciator installed in a Control Unit (panel), switch S2 is not used and the
position of the switch is ignored.

Installation
Install and wire this device in accordance with applicable national and
local codes, ordinances, and regulations.
When installing the 4-ANNCPU in a 4-xANNMT annunciator backbox
and no LCD is being installed, the 4-ANNCPU must be installed in the
vertical position (Figure 6, item 1). This allows 4-CABL0542 flex cable
connection between the 4-ANNCPU and the inner door UI rail. Refer to
4-CABL Series Flex Cable Installation Sheet, P/N 3102265-EN for
details.
For additional 4-ANNCPU mounting configurations, a 4-MPLT
mounting plate and a 4-BRKT-CB mounting bracket can be used.

Notes
• All wiring is power-limited and supervised. Contact information
• Use a power supply for TB1 from a regulated 24 VDC power
supply that is UL/ULC listed for fire protective signaling systems. For contact information, see www.edwardsfiresafety.com.
Two separate power supplies from two different cabinets cannot
be used to provide power.
• Connect a second 24 VDC supply to TB1 only if redundant power
wiring is required.
• When TB1 is wired for non-redundant power, it does not matter
which set of TB1 terminals are used, however switch S2 must be
in the ON position or a trouble will be generated.
• Maintain 0.25 in. (6 mm) separation between power-limited and
nonpower-limited wiring at all times. Refer to the backbox
documentation for details.
• Use the cable clips (Figure 6, item 7) to secure the USB cable to
the backbox or chassis, as required.
