A. E7V B. M5S C. E7N D. Q6H E. None of these

Correct Answers:
1 2 3 4 5
C D A E B
Common explanation :

In the code given for each word,

First letter of the code → Preceding letter to the last letter of the respective word

For example, last letter of the word ‘Happiness’ is ‘S’ and we know that ‘R’ precedes ‘S’ in alphabetical series.
Hence, the code will be ‘R’.

Similarly, in the word 'Build' last letter is 'D' and the letter 'C' precedes it in alphabet. Therefore, the first letter
of the code for the word 'Build' will be 'C'.

The number in the code can be obtained by subtracting 1 from the word which has even number of letters
and adding 1 to the word which has odd number of letters.

For example, number of letters in ‘Happiness’ are 9 which is an odd number. So, we will add 1 to 9 which
equals to 10. Hence, the number in the code will be 10.

Similarly, the number of letters in ‘Upon’ are 4 which is an even number. So, we will subtract 1 from 4 which
equals to 3. Hence, the number in the code will be 3.

The last letter of the code → The opposite letter of the first letter of the given word, in reverse alphabetical
order

For example, the first letter of the word ‘Happiness’ is ‘H’ and the opposite of ‘H’ in reverse alphabetical order
is ‘S’. Hence, the last letter in the code will be ‘S’.

Similarly, the first letter from left end in ‘Upon’ is ‘U’ and the reverse of ‘U’ is ‘F’. Hence, the last letter in the
code for 'Upon' is ‘F’.

Answers :

1. Following the common explanation we can say that the code of the word 'Messy' is 'X6N'

Hence, the correct answer is option C.

2. Following the common explanation we can say that 'X7V' is the code of the word 'Everyday'.

Hence, the correct answer is option D.

3. Following the common explanation we can say that 'R8H' is the code of the word 'Success'

Hence, the correct answer is option A.

4. Following the common explanation we can say that 'R5Z S6W' is the code for the word 'Always Doubt'

Hence, the correct answer is option E.

5. Following the common explanation we can say that 'M5S' is the code of the word 'Heaven'.

Hence, the correct answer is option B.
