►Scratch is a programming language

►What is a program?
A program is a set of commands. The commands control the
computer.

►What is the different between programmer and user?

A Programmer: is the person who makes a program through


chooses the command and puts them in order.

A user: is the person who uses and runs the program.

Input: every program has inputs we can use the mouse,touchscreen and keyboard to
make input data into computer .

Output: every program has outputs we can use the monitor & speakers. The output
comes out of the program.

The user sees and hears the program outputs


Input is what you do to control the computer the programmers & users makes the inputs.
Output is what comes out of the computer.the computer makes the output

Click on ‘create’ to open the area where you can create


your own programs

►►How to make a scratch program with output?


The command to create visual outputs are called ‘looks’
‘as in the picture’ then drag one block onto the script area.

►►How to save your work in scratch?


Click on file menu then choose save to your computer

A variable stores a value. You give every variable a


name. then you can use the value in your program.
