RULES, REGULATIONS AND PROCEDURES


Introduction

This document is designed to provide participants with a summary of their academic and personal conduct
expectations at the Indian Institute of Management Lucknow.

The academic sections provide important information on registration, curriculum, academic performance evaluation
system, attendance, academic discipline and related issues. The other sections provide information on facilities and
other matters concerning participants

Programme Objectives

Operations and Supply Chain Management play a central role in helping business organizations achieve competitive
advantage and become global leaders. It helps businesses create and deliver value by improving performance across
the dimensions of cost, quality, speed, customer responsiveness etc. With analytics starting to assume center-stage, and
with the increasing role of new Industry 4.0 technologies, the discipline of Operations and Supply Chain Management
gets even more important. The program will help the participant to:

Books

IIM Lucknow will provide individual copies of textbooks/instructional material to the participants as recommended
by the course instructors.

Attendance

 The Institute insists on regular and prompt attendance in classes.


 Any participants taking leaves or missing the session will be at their responsibility.
 Attendance criteria is minimum 75% for the entire course for getting the certificate.
 There will be no Archive / recording provided for any missed/unattended webinar
 The participants are not allowed to login with incorrect ID/ID of another participant’s
 You can make up on the missed session by referring to the related study material and/if any PPT’s shared by
faculty
 The supporting staff will be available in the classroom during sessions.
Academic Performance Evaluation System

Evaluation components:

Component 1: Examination – 6#, carries total 70% weightage in the final score.

Component 2: Project - carries a total 30% weightage in the final score

 Project is a Team project

 Teams will be submitting the project 1 week before the scheduled presentations

 Teams who miss the deadline will not be allowed to present unless approved by PDs

The grading systems for the courses taught would be:

Marks Obtained in a Module Rating


From 80% to 100% Excellent
60% & less than equal to 79.99% Good
40% & less than equal to 59.99% Average
35% & less than equal to 39.99% Below Average
Less than 35% Fail

Award of Certificate

 To qualify for the Certificate of Successful Completion, the following conditions should be satisfied
 At no stage in the programme shall the participant accumulate Fail/Absent in more than two courses.
 Cumulative Overall Percentage of Marks (COPM) should not be less than 50%.
 Attendance should not be less than 75% at the end of the Programme taking all the courses put together.

If the participant doesn’t fulfill any one of the above given criteria, then he/she will get ‘ Certificate of
Participation’ from IIM Lucknow.

No Certificate will be provided, if overall attendance is below 40%.

The title of the certificate to be awarded on the completion of the Programme will be
“EXECUTIVE PROGRAMME IN STRATEGIC OPERATIONS MANAGEMENT &
SUPPLY CHAIN ANALYTICS ”

Academic Discipline

The Institute attaches utmost importance to strict integrity and honesty in academic work by the participants. They
must maintain strict discipline in classrooms, examinations, tests, quizzes, take-home assignments, and all other
segments of academic work. Resorting to copying or helping to copy in any form in examinations or quizzes or
home assignments or other elements of evaluation, and/or reproducing passages from written work of others without
necessary acknowledgement, and/or passing on or receiving papers in connection with any academic work to be
evaluated, and/or canvassing for marks is strictly prohibited.

Unless otherwise specified by the concerned faculty, the participants must not collaborate in any way so far as their
writing effort is concerned in connection with home assignments. In other words, the answers as presented to the
concerned faculty should be independent work of each participant. They are advised that they should not, in
their own interest, communicate their written analysis or answers of home assignment to any other participants.
Notwithstanding anything contained in these rules no discussion of any sort will be permitted in the examination.

The following actions would be treated as misconduct on the part of the students and will be dealt with
severely:

1. Recording and/or transmission of live lectures and course material.


2. Absence during the classes, tests, discussions without prior consent from the classroom coordinator and
faculty.
3. Use of Abusive Language.
4. Reporting fictitious data for empirical study or assignments or plagiarism.
5. Theft or fraud or dishonesty.
6. Leveling any baseless and false allegations against any faculty member or officer or employees of IIML or
Emeritus.
7. Indulging in any act, which may adversely affect the relations of the institute with its customers.
[8.] Indulging in any act, which is detrimental to the reputation of the Institute or Emeritus.
8.[9.] Copying in quizzes, examinations or assignments.

Coordinators are also empowered to initiate any disciplinary action or debar from attending the campus immersion
against a student on any of the items above pertaining to the administration of this Programme in classrooms in
consultation with the Programme Directors, IIML. Certificates will be issued to the student only when proper amends
have been made for the misconduct on the part of the student.

Examination Rules

 All exam-related instruction will be shared by the Institute before the Exam.
 Student to report & login for examination at least 10 minutes before the commencement of the examination.
 Exam will be conducted online.
 The participants are not allowed to login with incorrect & another participant’s ID.
 Exam will be invigilated strictly and monitored live through System’s Auto Proctoring, Therefore, Keep
your Headphone, Microphone and Camera connected, and it should be Powered-On & Focused throughout the
exam..
 Use of unfair means during the examination will lead to immediate dismissal. Malpractices of any kind is
strictly discouraged. If any such found, the student shall be liable to be disqualified from the test.
 All Mobile phones should be switched off during the examinations or anywhere aside to the system.

Payment Criteria/Refund of Fee & Discontinuation/Dropping/Rejoining

Emeritus is directly responsible for Financials and any query pertaining to the same may be directly taken-up with
Team Emeritus.
Students/participants are required to pay the programme fee as per the schedule dates in the prescribed installment
plan given in the brochure. It is the responsibility of the student to adhere to the installment or the late fee will be
charged as per terms & conditions. The fee and other dues, once paid, under no circumstances will be refunded,
waived off, adjusted or transferred.

If a participant decides to withdraw from the programme after completion of the particular module, he or she may be
allowed to rejoin in maximum next two batches of the same programme to complete the remaining modules.
However, a re-registration fee of Rs. 25,000/ will be charged and paid directly to IIML. Further, the participant will
have to pay the revised fee (if any revision done) for the remaining modules.

All notification of cancellations/withdrawals from the programme must be received in writing by Emeritus 15 days or
more before the programme start date.

- Where the request for refund of academic fees has been received prior to the cut-off date, the refund shall be made
for an amount equal to the academic fees after deducting a refund processing penalty of Rs. 5,000. The amount of
taxes collected from the student shall not be refunded.

- Where the refund is being made on account of the programme being cancelled, the refund shall be made for the
entire amount including taxes collected from the student. No penalty shall be imposed in this case.

- Where the request for refund has been received subsequent to the rescheduling of the start date of the programme
that results in the programme commencement being delayed by more than one month from the original
commencement date, the refund shall be made for an amount equal to the academic fees and the amount of taxes
collected from the student. No request for refund on account of rescheduling of the start date of the programme shall
be considered if the programme commencement is delayed by less than one month.
No refund shall be made after the commencement of the programme.

Recording Policy
The primary mode of learning for this programme is via live online sessions with faculty members. Post-session video
recordings from live sessions will be available to the participants till two weeks (approx. 14 days) after the live
session is conducted, only at the discretion of the Programme Directors/ Faculty.
All faculty may not permit it. Emeritus or the institute does not guarantee the availability of any session recordings
after the two-week period is over

Policy for Issuing Duplicate Certificate / Grade Sheet

The Institute will issue a Duplicate Certificate only in the case where the original is lost or damaged.

In case of loss of original Certificate, the participant shall have to furnish an affidavit and/or a copy of FIR reporting
that the original Certificate is lost. In case of a damaged Certificate, the participant shall have to submit the damaged
Certificate.
An amount of Rs. 5,000/- per certificate will be charged for the issue of Duplicate Certificate.

Change of Rules

The Institute reserves the right to change any or all of the information, rules, regulations and procedures in this
Manual without prior notice, whenever it is deemed necessary to do so.

Management Development Programme (MDP) Office:

The Management Development Programme Office is located in a building called “MANTHAN”. It functions under
the general supervision of the Chairman, the Management Development Programme. If you have any clarifications or
difficulties, please do not hesitate to contact the Programme Directors, Chairperson-MDP or the Team MDP
consisting of Mr. Abhishek Shukla, and Ms. Anju Sharma (General Manager, MDP)
