Historical development and introduction to basic procedures in radiography. Principle of image
formation, factors affecting image quality. Radiation protection in a clinical setting, and image
presentation. Identification and preparation of the patient for different radiographic examinations.
Terminologies relating to radiographic anatomy and pathology. The student will be oriented to the
profession of radiography and opportunities for growth and development.
