INNOVISION
(Idea and Innovation Competition for Enterprising Students)
Deccan Education Society (DES)’s Fergusson College (Autonomous) and Enzene Biosciences Pvt.
Ltd. are co-hosting ‘INNOVISION’; an intercollegiate competition with a focus on “Idea and Innovation”
for enterprising undergraduate and postgraduate students from Science, Arts, Commerce Pharmacy and
Management streams. This is the fourth year of this competition and considering the response, we have
been receiving for the past three years, it has been decided that this year Innovision will be conducted at
National level where UG and PG students from above mentioned streams all over India can participate.
Objectives of Innovision:
• To identify highly motivated young innovator students.
• To give students an opportunity to present their ideas in front of industry experts.
• To develop entrepreneurship through mentoring provided by the experts from academia as well
as industry.
• To encourage UG and PG students to consider business as a career option.
• To support potential ideas and convert them into profitable business ventures by providing
guidance for Intellectual Property Rights, Market Research, Technology Development, Finances
and Advertising.
Registration:
• Registration fees: Rs. 500/- per entry
• Scan the following QR code for payment:
• Enter the transaction id of the completed payment and attach the receipt in the google form,
whose link is given on the next page.
Timeline:
• Registration and last date of idea submission: The last date has been extended to
15th June 2024.
• Presentation of selected ideas and announcement of results: Second week of July 2024 (final date
will be announced after the last date of submission)
Note:
• Registered UG/PG students (Science, Arts, Commerce, Pharmacy and Management)
from all colleges in India are eligible to submit ideas.
• Engineering, Medical and Law students are NOT ELIGIBLE.
• Individuals or groups of up to five students can work together to develop the business idea and
participate in the competition.
• The business idea needs to be realistic, that is, it should be a venture which can be run and
managed by students.
• Business idea in the prescribed format (given below) should be uploaded after filling the Google
form using the following link:

Guidelines for idea submission
Students need to submit two-page executive summary having a description of the business idea typed in 1.5 spacing
and 12-point Times New Roman font and should include following sections:
➢ Title of the idea
➢ Rationale for choosing the idea
➢ Relevant target group
➢ Expected outcome
➢ Team size (if it is a group endeavor)
➢ Action plan
• The executive summary can be written in English/ Hindi/Marathi
• Students from any of the streams (Arts /Science/ Commerce/ Pharmacy/Management) can apply for
ideas in any category.
o Ideas will be judged by a panel of industry experts.
o Students whose ideas will be shortlisted will get an intimation by the end of June 2024 and
will be called for presentation in July 2024.
o Three best ideas will be awarded trophy, certificate and cash prize as follows:
' Uploading the receipt ofpayment of registration charges (Rs.500/-) is mandatory.
o Winners will get guidance from the experts at Fergusson College and various industries in and
around Pune and will get an opportunity to be apartof Deccan Education Society's Dr. p.C.
Shejwalkar Centre for Entrepreneurship and Innovation.
Terms and conditions:
' The idea must be original and should not be copied in either full or part from any source. If it is
noticed at any point of time that the idea is not original, the entry will be disqualified and the applicant
will be debaned from the competitior.
' The applicants need to provide current, complete, and accurate information as required in the
registration form.
' All details submitted in the application form as well as subsequent presentations will be treated as
confidential. All reviewers will sign CDA/NDA. However, the responsibility of protecting
information prior to putting it out in the application form or sharing it wittr anyone lies completely
with the applicant and we strongly recommend that any applicant that has any concerns regarding
Intellectual Property (IP) protection and disclosure of informa-tion should contact an appropriate and
competent IP counsel before filling in the application.
' The applicants must regularly check their registered email id and the official college website
(www.fergusson.edu) for any announcements or updates.
' Only the selected applicants will be notified by email. It is the responsibility ofthe applicant to check
their emails regularly around the date of ''notification of acceptance'. The selected applicants who do
not respond to the notification of acceptance email will not be followed up further afteia
waiting period
ofthree days.
. Thedecision of the organizers will be final and binding.
' The applicants will have to agree to all the terms and conditions herein as well as those that
the
organizers may put in during the competition.
' The IPR for the formulated idea will be jointly owned by the students and the college (National
Innovation and Startup Policy 2019)
