neighbourhood. Six sentences have been removed from the article. Choose from the sentences A to H the one

Rescuing Stray Cats
I was walking home when I saw some children throwing stones at a small kitchen with a mixed patch of
red and black fur. The tiny creature meowed helplessly. Without giving a second thought, I lifted it in my bag.
Mum was not pleased that I had brought home what she described as the ugliest cat she had ever
seen. Foxy looked pitiful with its runny eyes, so mum agreed to take it to the vet. 27. He also reminded
me to spray Foxy when she turns five months old.
To learn more about taking care of pets, I also joined several Facebook groups for pet lovers. 28.
Then only I understood the reason behind Dr Norman’s advice to spay Foxy—we need to control the
overpopulation of cats!
I began to notice that there were so many stray cats and kittens in my neigbourhood. Many got hit by
cars and some had died due to untreated fungus and other illnesses. 29. The strays were abused and
chased away when they begged for food. Each time I looked at Foxy, I felt sad because it could have been her
fate too.
Determined to start my own rescue mission, I borrowed RM500 from my parents. I bought two large
cages and picked up all the stray kittens I could find—one for the healthy ones and another cage for sick
kittens. 30. The healthy ones are dewormed, and vaccinated at Dr Norman’s clinic; we had struck a deal
to help the stray kittens get adopted. It was not easy to take care of all ten kittens at the same time, but I was
determined to give them a decent home.
Soon, my stray kittens began to attract my neighbours’ attention. They were now healthy, litter-trained
and adorable. 31. I even offered a pet taxi service to bring them to the vet if the owners were too busy.
Some of my neighbours were not eager to use the service, but when I showed pictures of abandoned cats,
they immediately agreed.
Now, I am living in a pet-loving neighbourhood, with no more abandoned stray kittens roaming around.
