Homework Binder Acronyms
Homework Binder Acronyms
One way to make the task of writing homework more manageable is by using acronyms. These are
abbreviations formed from the first letters of words in a phrase or title. Acronyms can help you
remember important information and make your writing more organized and concise. They are
commonly used in the business and academic world, and they can be a valuable tool for students as
well.
One popular use of acronyms in homework is in creating a homework binder. This is a binder where
students can store all their homework assignments, notes, and other important materials. The use of
acronyms in organizing the binder can help students stay on top of their assignments and be more
productive.
DUE - stands for \"Do Until Everything.\" This acronym reminds you to complete all your
assignments before the due date.
WIP - stands for \"Work In Progress.\" Use this acronym to label assignments that you are
currently working on.
REV - stands for \"Review.\" Use this acronym to label assignments that you have completed
and need to review before submitting.
FIN - stands for \"Finished.\" This acronym can be used to label assignments that are
completed and ready to be submitted.
REM - stands for \"Reminder.\" Use this acronym to label assignments that have a specific
due date or important details that you need to remember.
These are just a few examples of acronyms that you can use in your homework binder. You can also
create your own acronyms that are specific to your needs and assignments.

love blogging, traveling, crafting and the occasional mani-pedi. When we did projects, we never had
enough time to finish them. I've done organizational binders for my students the last few years, I
don't know how I taught without them. This has two parts. Let me explain: Last year we had ready
made (bought) planners with a section for the students to write in daily, and (if need be) for the
teacher to write, the parent to inital and even a spot for the students to write their spelling words in.

would be great. I am still learning my way around Boardmaker, the only thing I can do right now is
make PCS icons and make sentence strips. There's no better time than kindergarten to start
developing good homework and study habits. I love being with my family and friends, digital
scrapbooking, photography, cooking, and baking. The themes will all be bundled together, that way,
if you ever change your classroom theme, ALL of the binder printables will be at your fingertips.
Here are some pictures of the binder I put together last night and I will be delivering to my student's
house today. I've taught 4th grade, Kindergarten and have been in 1st for the past 5 years. Celebrate

had visions of the classroom binder in my head as I slept this morning, so then I was inspired to
create a pack of classroom binder sets for several different classroom themes. I also included a
brainstorming page for students to use when thinking about their senses in relation to each month.

available for purchase. I started to use the more durable plastic folders for sending homework and
newsletters. Here are some pictures of the binder I put together last night and I will be delivering to

don’t have to worry about it for the month and it can just stay in their binders. See the link below.

Planners. I numbered my kids, so I also numbered the cardboard pieces in the top right corner of
each side. I used the PIRATE binder in my room this year and it makes it so much easier to
communicate with parents and get students organized with sending their homework, notes, and
graded papers to and from school. They get started on morning work for the day in that same folder.
Plus here are a bunch of acronyms to fit any theme. And Mrs. Mecham’s blog explains her classroom
BEE books.
I have used them for many, many years, and will continue using them. This year, I elected to put poly
binders (the floppy kind) on the supply list instead of the traditional braded folders. I put velcro on
the bag (and on the back of the previous page) so the bag can be attached as shown in the picture
below. I did not create these acronyms, but have linked the list I used to create the binder covers for
them. We used to have one called FROG which stood for Fully Responsible Organized and
Growing. There's no better time than kindergarten to start developing good homework and study
habits. One thing I really wanted to get done in time for the home visits were homework binders.

Teachers Pay Teachers. I numbered my kids, so I also numbered the cardboard pieces in the top right
corner of each side. Around October they can start copying it from the board. What I thought was
amazing was that most of the kids took to owning their portfolio, was proud of it, and made sure
they filed pieces away until we worked on the project another day. Hi everyone--I am sorry for the
confusion for the items you see below that you saw another time on my blog. In the section of the
binder that I have included their behavior logs, I would mark their color for the day or add a note.
I'm looking forward to seeing the rest of what you are doing. Reply Delete Replies Reply

available, all pictured below. You can create DIY tabs or just use standard ones and paste or write
the subject for each tab. If your students chart their weekly spelling tests or sight words then you can
add those too. Make sure this account has posts available on instagram.com. The original idea for
these called for using 3-ring binders, but we just couldn’t afford that. Then in a separate document
create the pieces that match. I like that it has a small pocket inside the folder (perfect for notes from
the parents and book order money). In my last blog, I told you about a wonderful presenter. If you
have your planning period closer to the end of the day, then I guess you could do that then. At first, I
was annoyed, but it didn't take long to realize how nice it was to have her sit at the table each day
doing her homework, while I was feeding the baby and making dinner. Thanks for sharing and
inspiring!:) Dixie Teachin' Little Texans Reply Delete Replies Reply Kimmie June 22, 2012 at 3:56
PM Ohh, I can't wait. Then I just print, laminate, velcro, and cut-out the pieces and it is good to go.
We bought tabs to put on them and will label the tabs with printable labels. With the daily
homework, my kids developed an after-school homework routine.

please switch to the latest version of Google Chrome, Microsoft Edge, Apple Safari or Mozilla

assignments, go over homework in the folder, and remind their child to put it in the folder to come
back to school. Reply Delete Replies Hailey July 26, 2013 at 8:27 AM This is now available on my

you've yet to introduce it in your own classroom. The acronyms many times were based upon themes
used in a classroom. I use the poly binders from Walmart or Office Depot. Next is a plastic folder
sheet (with tab cut off.) The front pocket holds regular homework and the back holds the monthly
reading calendar. Well, there was always the shuffle of getting the right one out of the desk. I
designed labels to use on the bags, wrote the numbers on the labels, and stuck them on the top center.
You can add your weekly words or add the words for the month so you don’t have to worry about it
for the month and it can just stay in their binders. I have MUCH more that will be included to make
the classroom binder possible in your classroom including labels and printables for your binder. This
is going to be their ONE and only folder.( I hope)!!! I've been reading about different 'binders'
teachers use for their students.and settled on this--my version of the STAR binder. (Students Taking
Academic Responsibility). At the beginning of the year it will be a bit tricky for them but as you
model, you will be surprised to see how well they do with keeping their binders together and the
pride and accountable that they display throughout the year. Make sure this account has posts
