For passengers who bought a PAL ticket but wants to add MORE KILOS to their free check-in
baggage allowance, these are the rates for domestic routes:
 Additional 5 kgs – P250
 Additional 10 kgs – P500
 Additional 15 kgs – P750
 Additional 20 kgs – P999
 Additional 25 kgs – P1,250
 Additional 30 kgs – P1,500
 Additional 35 kgs – P1,750
 Additional 40 kgs – P2,000

KOREAN AIR

Korean Air Checked Baggage Allowance

All checked bags must adhere to a max weight of 50 pounds (23 kg) for economy (except Korea
Domestic and to/from Brazil) and 70 pounds (32 kg) for first/Prestige fares; must adhere to max linear
dimensions of 62 inches (158 cm).

Free baggage allowances regarding size, weight, and quantity of baggage vary with passenger itineraries,
seating classes, and SKYPASS membership grades.

Korean Air advises passengers to use its baggage calculator for information on fees. We ran a few
searches and found the following fees, but do check the calculator for your specific flight.

QATAR AIRWAYS
Paying for Extra Bag Fees Online
If you choose to pay for your extra bags before reaching the airport, you can buy them online, through
Qatar Airways’ mobile app, or at a Qatar Airways office or airport counter.

The fee for each extra bag is $200 (Can$260).

However, there are a couple of exceptions:

 Flights between Qatar and Africa: $100 (QAR 370) for each extra bag
 Flights between Brazil and Buenos Aires: $80 for each extra bag
To take advantage of the prepaid fee, you must pay for your bags up to 6 hours before your flight’s
scheduled departure.

Paying for Extra Bag Fees at the Airport


If you are paying for your extra checked bags at the airport, or within 6 hours of your flight’s scheduled
departure, you will be charged $255 (Can$330) for each bag.

However, there are a couple of exceptions:

 Flights between Qatar and Africa: $130 (QAR 460) for each extra bag
 Flights between Brazil and Buenos Aires: $100 for each extra bag
Overweight Bag Fees
If you are traveling on an Economy Class ticket, and your bag weighs more than 50 pounds, you will be
charged an overweight fee of $75 (Can$100). Checked bags weighing more than 70 pounds (32
kilograms) will not be accepted at check-in. Overweight bag fees have to be paid when checking in at the
airport. They can’t be paid for earlier.
