ISSUE STAND/CLAIM
Poverty is a state of not being able
to afford food and basic necessities
because people are extremely poor.
This is one of the social issues that
many countries have worked hard
to avoid, but it is difficult to mitigate
and has always existed in some
parts of the world. I am one of
those people who is working hard to
POVERTY
break the cycle of poverty because I
was born poor. The reason is that
poor people are more likely to
suffer from a variety of health
issues. Poverty-stricken children are
less likely to complete high school
or attend college, and they are
more likely to engage in different
crimes.
This issue has been a hot topic way
back the years. I’m definitely in
favor of legalizing of marijuana but
solely for medical purposes only.
I’m am fully aware it may have a lot
of consequences but who cares if
we are going to save many lives? As
LEGALIZATION a future medical practitioner, I want
OF MARIJUANA people to be open minded for
innovations especially if it is going
to improve our quality of life. Of
course, legalization of it should not
be taken for granted. Government
should have strict laws about it for
the reason that this kind of drugs
are misused by a lot people.
Public display of affection in schools
are very inappropriate behavior and
I will always be against it. We
students go to school to learn and
to be educated, not to do this kind

of shits. I don’t know if it is only me
SCHOOLS
but I cringe whenever I see couples
in school, especially if they are just
in junior high. This kind of things
are only a distraction to their
learning and contributes to another
arising social issue which is teenage
pregnancy.
Being a student in a Catholic school,
I think it is hard to be in favor of
abortion because it is a kind of a
mortal sin according to scriptures.
However, we should think of all
aspects before having a stand. I’m
ABORTION against abortion but what if a
woman was raped and doesn’t want
to born the child of a rapist? This
kind of situation is not a blessing.
Though I’m against it, I will only
agree to it for some reasons such
as what I have mentioned above.
SCHOOL I am firmly in favor of students
UNIFORM wearing uniform. I believe that
wearing uniform will help us
students to be more focused in our
lessons and not in our clothes. It
saves time choosing and thinking
what we should wear. In addition,
having no uniform will just give
room for jealousy and
discrimination.
