1. Outlook
There are 3 major windows: Project Tree Window, Google Map Window, and Elevation
Profile Window.
Users can create multiple projects, and in each project, there are routes and place marks.
All these routes and place marks are organized and displayed in the project tree window.
Google Map Window will display select project’s routes and place marks positions on
Google Map.
Elevation profile window will show the selected route’s elevations.
2. Project Tree Window
The project tree will list all projects. In each project, it contains routes and place marks. A
project can have multiple routes and multiple place marks.
3. Create, remove, edit projects.
3.1 Create new project.
Click the “New Project” button will create a new project. Users can click on the new
project node to edit project name.
3.2 Remove project.
Click “Remove Current Project” will remove the selected project.
3.3 Change Project Name
Click on selected project will pop up an edit window for users to input new project
name.
4. Create a new route
4.1 Click “Add New Route” button on Google Map.
4.2 Click waypoints of routes. Planner will automatically generate route along road.
4.3 Click “Finish Route Edit” button to finish the route creation.
A Property Window will show for users to edit “Name”, “Color”, “Line Width”, and
“Description”.
4.4 Elevation Profile Window.
When a route is created or selected, the Elevation Profile Window will show the
route’s elevation. Users can see the distance of the route, the elevations of the route
on the window.
5. Remove, Edit Route
Clicking on the starting point of a route will pop up window. Clicking on “Edit” link will let
users edit the route. Clicking on “Properties” link will let users view and edit the route’s
properties. Clicking on “Remove” link will remove the route.
6. Elevation Profile Window
6.1 Zoom in/Zoom out
clicking “Zoom in”, “Zoom Out” buttons or draging on window can change the view
range.
6.2 Preselect point
Move cursor on the elevation curve will show the detailed information of that point.
6.3 Cursor point
Clicking on Elevation Profile Window will set cursor point at the clicked location. The
correspondent point is also shown on Google Map.
7. Create Place Mark
7.1 Click on “Create Place Mark” button. The cursor shape will be changed to “Place Mark”.
7.2 Click on the where users want to create place mark.
7.3 The place mark properties window will be shown. Clicking “OK” to create.
7.4 Name: The placemark name. The placemark name will be synchronized to device, and
it is unicode supported. The length of the name is limited to 14 charaters if it is
alphabets, or 7 characters if it is Unicode.
7.5 Set As Finder Point: (only applied to GPSport260/ GPSport260 Pro). Users can set 10
finders in one project. When it is synchronized to GPSport260/ GPSport260 Pro, users
can select a finder point to guide users the directions of the point.
7.6 Associated with: Users can associate a place mark to a route. When it is associated to
a route, the place mark will become the checkpoints of the route.
8. Remove, Edit Place Mark
8.1 Clicking on place mark will pop up a message window. Click “Properties” to edit place
mark. Click “Remove” button to remove the place mark.
9. Save Workspace
Issue menu menu command “File” > “Save Workspace” to save modified data into
workspace.
10. Sync To Device
10.1 Turn on device.
10.2 Connect device to PC
10.3 Issue command “File” > “Sync To Device…” will synchronize the selected project to
device.
11. Read Data From Device
11.1 Connect GPS device to PC.
11.2 Menu command “File” > “Read Data From Device…”
11.3 The track list dialog will pop up. Users can select the tracks to read.
11.4 The tracks will be read in the current project
12. Import/Export Files.
12.1 Users can import gpx or kml files into projects by command “File” > “Import”
12.2 Users can export gpx or kml files of select projects by command “File” > “Export”
