1. Touch panel setting
1.1 Intensity
⇒ It displays received data from Seismic Recorder in EIS (Earthquake Intensity Scale)
grade, and shows acceleration, velocity, and displacement values from 3 axis
(X,Y,Z) sensor.
1.2 Real-time Graph
⇒ It shows waveform graphs of 3 axis (X,Y,Z) real time data received from Seismic Recorder.
- 3 -
1.3 PGA Graph
⇒ It shows waveform graphs of HPGA (Horizontal Peak Ground Acceleration)
and TPGA(Total Peak Ground Acceleration) data received from Seismic Recorder.
1.4 QSCD
⇒ It shows details of QSCD20(Quick Seismic Characteristic Data from 20sps data)
data received from Seismic Recorder.
1.5 Alarm
⇒ It indicates data exceeded standards values set in “Alarm setting”.
1.6 GPS
⇒ It shows Locking and Unlocking histories of GPS in QSCD20 data received from Seismic Recorder.
- 4 -
1.7 Time Sync (Time Synchronization)
⇒ It shows histories of Time Synchronization conducted manually or automatically,
after analyzing GPS data received from Seismic Recorder.
1.8 Setting
① Click on the tab, “Setting”.
①-1 Alarm setting * Do not change the default Receive Port. (9908)
①-2“Alarm Trigger Level”→ Once the Seismic sensor detects a vibration
exceeding a level, an alarm goes off.
①-3“File Save Trigger Level”→ Once the Seismic sensor detects a vibration
exceeding a level, it’s recorded as an event data.
①-4“Alarm” check box → Whether to enable the feature, “Alarm Trigger Level”
①-5“Save” check box → Whether to enable the feature, “File Save Trigger Level”
①-6 Select “Apply”, if you finish to change settings.
② Time synchronization settings * Do not change the default Receive Port. (9905)
②-1 The check box, “Auto Sync” means enabling “Auto Time synchronization” feature.
②-2 Select “Apply&Sync” to save the settings.
③ Incoming server → Select a Seismic Logger’s IP Address and Station.
Seismic Logger’s IP address is 192.168.10.202, Touch Panel’s IP address is
192.168.10.135.
④ Y Axis Scale
- 5 -
④-1 Same: It shows “View a relative graph”
④-2 Different: It shows “View an absolute graph”
④-3 If you enable the check box, “Drawing for 1 minute”, the screen is
automatically moved to “Intensity” tab from “RealTime” or “PGA Graph” tab,
after 1 minute from the moment of entering those tabs.
⑤ Network → It shows Touch Panel IP Address, Subnet Mask and Gateway’s address
⑥ Serial Port , Baud rate : 115200 , Data : 8Bit , Parity : None , Stop : 1Bit
⇒ Open the pop-up screen, “GPS Information”. (Picture below)
Request ⇒ It enables you to check the current reception status of GPS data.
Stop ⇒ It allow you to stop checking GPS data
OK ⇒ It closes “GPS Information” screen.
⇒ Open the pop-up screen, “Logger Information”. (Picture below)
Request ⇒ It brings the current network setting of selected Seismic
Recorder set in “Incoming server setting”.
Apply ⇒ It saves the settings.

1.9 Status Bar
The current status of recorder is shown at the bottom of Touch Panel screen at Status bar.
User can check the following information such as Memory usage, Status of serial
port, Signal of data reception, Current time, and Region. After 30 seconds from
receiving an alarm, it saves the data as an event, and its graph is reviewable.
1.10 Event data (Alarm)
When an alarm occurs, Touch Panel saves it as event data. The data can be
found on “Alarm” tab. Once one of event data is selected, it’s shown in graph.
The features of Zoom In-Out and Tracking data are provided to check details.
- 7 -
1.11 Signal Error and Reboot the system
If the “Touch Panel” fails to receive data from Seismic Recorder for 10 seconds,
“Reception Conditions” message pops up and counts 60 seconds. It automatically
reboot the system after 60 seconds from the message shown. If it continuously
fails to receive data even after the reboot, it starts to check the status of
Seismic Recorder.
1.12 Clear Log
Touch Panel records Alarm Log, GPS Log, and Time Sync Log. Each log data are
deletable by selecting the “Clear” icon at the top right of the Touch Panel.
Alarm Log is managed in a separate file. It is deleted, once you choose and
confirm to delete “Alarm Log”
