Why Does Abuse Happen?

Abuse is commonly known as a mistreat, improper usage of a thing


which is to unfairly or improperly gain benefit when someone causes harm.
There are different forms of abuse nowadays to mistreat everyone it
includes physical,emotional,verbal and sexual abuse. Those abuse may
affect the victims mostly mentally. However, to prevent this kind of case the
most effective way is awareness because it is a serious state of well-being
of a person. That’s why awareness is significant in this kind of situation or
scenario, you need to be aware of what is happening in your surroundings
and also on people around you because there’s no given time on when it
will happen to you.

Physical abuse is a form of mistreatment or violence in which one


person intentionally uses physical force to cause harm or injury to another
person. It can take many forms, including hitting, punching, slapping,
kicking, choking, or any other action that causes physical harm or pain.
Physical abuse can occur in various settings, such as domestic violence,
child abuse, elder abuse, or in other interpersonal relationships. It is
considered a serious violation of a person's physical and emotional
well-being and is often a criminal offense. If you or someone you know is
experiencing physical abuse, it's important to seek help and support from
authorities, counselors, or organizations specializing in domestic violence
or abuse.
Mental abuse, also known as emotional or psychological abuse, is a
form of mistreatment in which one person uses various tactics to control,
manipulate, or harm another person emotionally and psychologically.
Mental abuse can have severe and lasting effects on the victim's mental
and emotional well-being. It can lead to anxiety, depression, low
self-esteem, and a sense of powerlessness. Victims of mental abuse may
also find it challenging to leave the abusive relationship due to the
emotional control exerted by the abuser. It can take in various forms
including verbal abuse, isolation, control, threats and intimidation, and
humiliation. Recognizing mental abuse and seeking support from friends,
family, or professionals is essential for breaking free from an abusive
situation and beginning the process of healing and recovery. Mental abuse
is a serious issue and should not be tolerated or ignored.
Sexual abuse is a traumatic experience that can have profound and
lasting physical, emotional, and psychological effects on survivors. These
effects may include post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), depression,
anxiety, feelings of shame and guilt, difficulty in forming and maintaining
healthy relationships, and a range of physical health problems. It's
important to emphasize that consent is a crucial aspect of any sexual
activity, and sexual abuse is a violation of a person's right to autonomy
over their own body. Victims of sexual abuse should seek support from
professionals, such as counselors or therapists, and may choose to report
the abuse to law enforcement to pursue legal action against the abuser.
Sexual harassment is any behavior that makes someone uncomfortable
and a form of discrimination that includes gender harassment such as
sexist statements and actions conveying insulting, humiliating, or sexist
attitudes. There are different forms of sexual harassment that can be
experience namely verbal, non-verbal and physical.

In conclusion, Abuse is a serious and harmful behavior that can have


devastating physical, emotional, and psychological effects on victims. It
can take various forms, including physical, emotional, sexual, or financial
abuse. Preventing and addressing abuse is crucial for the well-being of
individuals and society as a whole. Education, awareness, and support
systems are essential in combating abuse and providing assistance to
those affected by it.
