TEACHER’S ACTIVITY STUDENT’S ACTIVITY

Preliminary Activities:

Prayer
Everybody stand and let us pray.
Jemimah, please lead the prayer. Classmates, let us pray. In the name of the
father and of the son and of the holy spirit.
Our Father, Who art in heaven, Hallowed be
Thy Name. Thy Kingdom come, Thy Will be
done, On earth as it is in Heaven. Give us
this day, our daily bread, And forgive us our
trespasses, as we forgive those who
trespass against us. And lead us not into
temptation, but deliver us from evil.

Fixing of the Virtual Classroom

So, we’re blessed by this day, and it’s
nice to see your welcoming faces here
again. Before anything else, I would like No one Ma’am.
to remind all of you of the most
essential part of the day.
It’ll be first, keep yourself groomed and
comfortable, minimize distractions and
noises, always keep on track of your
mute status. If you’re not talking,
commenting, or presenting, keep your
microphone muted and if it’s your turn
to talk, be sure to unmute your
microphone first.

May you behave properly and

respectfully and lastly don’t ever forget Yes! Ma’am.
to smile. Is that fine, class?

Checking of the Attendance

Okay! Anybody who is absent today?
Review of the Lesson
Before we proceed to our new lesson
lets have first a quick review with our
previous topic.

Development of the Lesson

Motivation
Alright. Today, we have new lesson.
Are you ready to listen? Everyone: Yes, we’re ready!

Again! Louder.
Everyone: Yes, we’re ready!

Great!
As of this moment, we’ll having an interactive
game, we call it the “Picture Game”. So listen
carefully for teacher’s instructions.

I have here a ball, I will give the ball to Andrea.

So, I will play a music an while the music is
playing, you will pass the ball to your
classmates. And when I stop the music,
whoever hold the ball will answer the question.

So, what are the questions? Teacher will just

show you a picture and you will identify what is
it or who is it and what is its function. Is that
clear class?

Okay, if everything is clear you say “Clear

teacher!”. Everyone: Clear teacher!

Very Good! Okay ready, let’s start.

(Music played)

Now, pass the ball Andrea.

Okay, lea what is this and its function?

Lea: That’s Door ma’am, It lets people in

and out of the room.

That’s right Lea, Thank you.

Let’s continue.
Leo: A wall ma’am. It protects what is inside
the room.

Excellent Leo.
Now, let’s continue.
Anna: it’s a refrigerator ma’am. It’s for
storing food.

Good Job! Anna.

Haily: It caters all the people around it.

Very good! Haily.

Maria: That’s the chef, the one who cooks

food.

Absolute answer Maria! And that concludes

our game, thank you for participating You did
well students, give yourselves 3 claps! (clap, clap, clap)

Now, calm down and sit properly because I’ll

ask you a question. Raise your hands if you
want to answer, do not answer in churros, are
we clear?
Everyone: Very clear teacher!
Okay good.
Of all the pictures that you’ve seen, where do
you think we can find them?

Yes, Peter?
Peter: All the mentioned things and people
are what makes up a restaurant!
Very Good! That’s right peter and they all have
basic structures and function, am I right class.

Everyone: Yes ma’am.

Class, all we did a while ago have something
to do and quite related to the topic we are
going to discuss today.

Similarly, with eukaryotes, we also have our

basic structural and functional unit. Does
anyone have an idea of what possible is it?

Yes, Jenerose?
Very good! That’s correct Jenerose: I think we’ll talk about cell Ma’am.
Today we are going to tackle about the Plant
and Animal Cell. Are you familiar with the
topic? Everyone: yes, Ma’am.

That’s good to hear, so let’s refresh your

knowledge then. After hearing the topic what Ella: I feel curious about what’s within the
do you feel in this lesson? Yes, Ella? cell or what composed the cell Ma’am, if all
cells are the same.
That’s nice, later we will feed that curiosity of
yours.

Okay. For you to fully understand our Everyone:

discussion, kindly read the objectives of our At the end of the lesson, the students will be
lesson. able to:
• Identify parts and functions of a
eukaryotic cell through a 3D model;
• Distinguish plant cell from animal
cell;
• Differentiate plant and animal cells
according to presence of certain
organelles;
• Construct a Venn diagram to show
parts that are common to both and
parts that are only found in either
plant or animal cells; and
Are the objectives clear, class?
Okay, that’s good to hear!
Everyone: Very clear Teacher!
Presentation of the Lesson

 Activity

Now Since you said you’re familiar with the

topic. We will explore the lesson through an
activity. In this activity, there will be two
groups: Boy Group and Girl Group. On my left
will be the girl group and, on my right, will be
the boy group. Can you do it quietly?

Now find your group and make a circle. Everyone: Okay Ma’am!

Are you ready class?

The title of our activity is “Name my Everyone: Yes Ma’am!
organelles”. I have here a 3D model of a plant
cell and animal cell with a flags.
Now, Could you read the directions Alle?

Alle: The teacher will give a two 3D model

of an animal cell and a plant cell. Each
group will get one 3D model and with the
flag provided by the teacher, pierced it to
the organelles that’s present in the 3D
model of cell, Identify the parts of it to
check your knowledge about the topic and
show the similarities and differences of the
two cells.
Write your answers on the flags and share
it on the class. Choose a representative/s
Are directions clear? to report your groups’ work.

Are there any questions? Everyone: Very clear Ma’am!

Good, you have 5 minutes to do this activity. Everyone: None Ma’am.

You can start now collaborating with your
Groupmates. (Students answer their activity)
…….…………..(After 5 minutes)………………..

Are you through?

Good. Let’s Start first with the representative/s

of the Boy Group and next will be the Girl Everyone: Yes, Ma’am!
Group.

Dwight: Hello everyone, we are the

representative of Boy group and I would like
to share with you the parts of a plant cell.

Plant cells are generally rectangular in

shape and have a rigid cell wall surrounding
the cell membrane.
Piolo: They also contain
chloroplasts, which these
green over here, are
responsible for photosynthesis.

Lue: Also, plant cells have a large central

vacuole which is this blue one that store
nutrients.

Luis: Lastly, these red one here are what

we call the mitochondria which is known
as the powerhouse of the cell. That’s all that
we know for now thank you.
Wow, Thank you very much Boy Group. Great
Job! Lets give them a _________ Clap.
(CLAP)
Now, lets proceed to the Girl group!
Anna: Good morning Classmates and
Ma’am, we are the representative of Girl
group and I would like to share with you the
parts of an Animal cell.

Ella: Cells of animals can vary in size and

shape, but they have many features in
common.

Gellie: This red in the center

is what we call the nucleus.
Within the nucleus is a
structure called the nucleolus,
whose job is to make
ribosomes.

Violet: Both plant and

animal cells are eukaryotic,
so they contain membrane-
bound organelles like the
nucleus and mitochondria.

Rain: Animal cells simply have a cell

membrane, but no cell wall. That’s all that
we can share, thank you.
Excellent Girl group! Lets give yourselves a
_________ Clap

Now, let’s look if your answers are correct.

Okay, just like a restaurant, a cell also has

many components or parts in order them to
work efficiently. Now, let’s take a look at this
illustration.
(Shows a picture of animal cell)
What have you observed in the illustration?

That’s right
(Shows a picture of plant cell)
How about this one?
 Analysis
Now, let me show you an illustration showing
the planning process.

(The teacher encourages students to share

ideas and participate)

This is a Simplified Planning Process in

Achieving Goals Effectively

When we say Defining Objectives what do you

think should we do? Yes rose?

That’s right superb idea rose! Thank you.

How about in Generating Alternative

Strategies? Yes Jeff?
Very Good! That’s right Jeff.

Now, what’s your idea about Evaluating

Alternatives and Selecting a Strategy? Yes,
Jerome you’re recognize.

Wow, what an excellent answer Jerome.

Thank you.

Next is why do we Obtain Commitments?

Yes, Ara?

What an absolute answer Ara, thank you.

Lastly can we have Daniel to answer why we
need to Monitor Results.

That’s right. And by following these steps,

organizations can effectively plan and achieve
their goals while adapting to changing
circumstances and maximizing employee
engagement.

Great job, everyone. Give yourselves a AYOS

clap.

 Abstraction
At this juncture, let me present to you What are
planning techniques. Now, read what is
planning technique.

For effective planning in today’s dynamic

environment, different techniques and tools
must be used, such as forecasting,
contingency planning, scenario planning,
benchmarking, and participatory planning.

Here are the definition and examples of some

planning techniques and tools. First is?

The forecast will have to be constantly

monitored and revised-particularly when it
relates to a long- term period. The managers
should try to reduce the element of
guesswork in preparing forecasts by
collecting the relevant data using the
scientific techniques of analysis and
inference. Next is?

Contingency plans are an important part of

your overall business continuity strategy
because they help ensure your organization is
ready for anything.
Contingency factors

➢ may offer alternative courses of action

when the unexpected happens or when
things go wrong

➢ called “trigger points” indicate when the

prepared alternative plan should be
implemented.

Next?

Scenario planning is identifying a specific set

of uncertainties, different “realities” of what
might happen in the future of your business.

Can you give me some illustrative example of

it? Who wants to try?

Yes Ella, you’re recognize.

Correct Ella, That’s right!

Next will be Benchmarking, It refers to

another planning technique that generally
involves external comparisons of a company’s
practices and technologies with those of other
companies.

From the definition itself what’s the purpose of

benchmarking? Can we have Carl to answer?

Excellent Carl, Thank you. And also we should

know the Techniques used.

In External benchmarking- to achieve superior

performance. Additionally, in Internal
benchmarking- to encourage employees
working in different wok units to learn and
improve by sharing one another’s best
practices.

This time please read the three ways to use

benchmarking.

The idea is that, by understanding how top

performers complete a process, you can find
ways to make your own processes more
efficient, faster and more effective. Continue
reading.

The idea is to understand what strategies

underpin successful companies (or teams or
business units) and then compare these
strategies with your own to identify ways you
can be more competitive. Lastly, we have?

This can also refer to functional performance

benchmarking, such as benchmarking the
performance of the HR team or the marketing
team.

Finally, To be able to have an effective

planning we must not forget to include
Participatory Planning. Please read everyone.

Additionally, a planning process that includes

the people who will be affected by the plans
and those who will be asked to implement
them in all planning steps.
• Positive results of PARTICIPATORY
Planning:
➢ Creativity
➢ Increase acceptance
➢ Understanding of plans
➢ Commitment to the success of plans
Now, do you understand the different
techniques and tools to be able to have an
effective planning?

 Application
This time to assess your learning,

Answer the following questions. Write your

answers in your activity notebook. You’re
given 10 minutes to answer. Start now.

Time is up! Pass your paper in 5 seconds. 1, 2,

3, 4, 5.
Generalization
Now to test whether you truly understand our
topic, lets test your learning. Let’s have a true
or false activity.

True or False: Forecasting involves making

predictions about future events based solely
on present data.

Why? Yes Renchille?

Correct! Very good Renchille.

True or False: Contingency planning is
primarily a reactive strategy aimed at
managing crises after they occur.

Who wants to answer? Yes Dave?

That’s right Dave. Good job!

True or False: Scenario planning is a short-
term version of contingency planning.

Go, Raffy.

Correct! Thank you Raffy.

True or False: Benchmarking involves only

internal comparisons of a company's practices
and technologies. Can we have Christian to
answer?

Correct! Very good.

Lastly is it a true or False. Participatory
planning aims to exclude marginalized groups
from the planning process. Yes Anna?

.
 Assessment
Now to assess your learning please get ¼
cross wise and answer the correct letter to
your paper.
