PERFORMANCE TASK # 2.1
GRAPH OF POLYNOMIAL FUNTIONS
Materials:
1/8 Illustration board
Coloring materials/marker
Ruler
Procedures:
Students were group into 5. Each group will graph the polynomial function assigned to them in a 1/8
illustration board.
Group 1: p(x) = -x3 + x2 - x
Group 2: f(x) = x3 - 4x2 + x + 6
Group 3: g(x) = x2 + 2x - 8
Group 4: h(x) = 3x2 - 5x - 2
Group 5: j(x) = x3 + 3x2 - 10x – 24
Determine the x – and y-intercepts and make a coordinates table of atleast 5 points.
Rubrics:
Accuracy - 70%
Creativity - 20%
Timeliness - 10%
TOTAL - 100%
Solutions should be written in a 1 whole sheet of bond paper
Performance Task output should be pass on Thursday during Math time.
Note: Timeliness is one of the criteria grading your output.
