I. EXECUTIVE SUMMARY

UVD Manufacturing Company is built to create products that will help consumer to protect

themselves from unseen germs, viruses, and bacteria, especially in this time of pandemic, through

the use of Portable UV Disinfection Bag. This bag serves its purpose as a main tool for disinfecting

the objects that everyone commonly brings in their daily outdoor activities. The efficiency of this bag

is to help consumers to save time and to ease the disinfection process of the items inside the bag

through utilization of Ultraviolet lights. UV Light has become popular as disinfection tools and is

attached to enclosed objects such as storage box, bags, and etc.

The company aims to be recognized as one of the top manufacturers of disinfection product

locally in its first year of operation. While continuously penetrating the market, UVD Manufacturing

Company plans to make its product be known nationally and be able to export its goods with other

countries in the succeeding years. The proposed target market of this product are the people who

significantly need to go out for their daily activities such as works, gatherings, and leisure. The firm’s

usual competitors are those of manufacturing company that sells existing disinfection product while

the Portable UV Disinfection Bag can be differentiated from its rivals as a portable, fashionable,

sustainable, and eco-friendly bag.

The projected financial expenses for the creation of Portable UV Disinfection Bag are allotted

for the acquisition of raw materials, labour, operation, transportation, and advertisement which is

estimated at one million costs. To expand the venture of this idea, this study will be proposed to

different investors who are willing to be a co-founder of this project.

II. COMPANY DESCRIPTION

A. Vision Statement

With our sincere dedication to protect our customers from harmful microorganisms, UVD

Manufacturing Company targets in the coming years to reach more consumers through expanding

store branch and be able to distribute many kinds of disinfection goods locally and internationally by

being invested in company research and development to continuously create, meet and satisfy the

needs and demands of our users.

B. Mission Statement

As we offer products that promotes hygiene and safety, our company aims to ensure the product

availability for each customer group, produce high-quality, eco-friendly, and effective disinfection

goods.

C. Short-Term Goals

i. To adapt with the fashion trends of society.

iii. To make the product accessible in its cheapest price.

iv. To manufacture the product in the most eco-friendly way possible.

E. Target Market

Portable UV Bag is designed specifically for individuals who constantly need to go out and carry

valuable items with them. Apparently, there is a huge percentage of people who is included to the

specified statement and most of them are employees, students, parents, public servant, and etc.

Locally, people who were at the age bracket of eighteen and above that resides around Santa Maria,

Bulacan are the first target market of this business as they are seen to be essentially working or doing

errands outside and are more prone to viruses. The abovementioned consumers are capable of

having high purchasing power in the market.

F. Industry

Bag and Disinfectant Manufacturing Industry have a strong edge in the business world. One of the

most top selling products that is essential in everyday use is the disinfection tools and bags. It is a

great advantage to the company to make the essential goods as one product.

G. Legal Structure

UVD Manufacturing Company is a corporation, incorporated in Santa Maria, Bulacan. It needs

security and continuity in terms of investment of funds to fulfil company’s needs. It is structured

through securing necessary permits from concerned government agencies to be able to operate. Any

legal matters that the company will be concerned about will be taken care of its legal department and

its private lawyers.

III. PRODUCT AND SERVICE DESCRIPTION

A. Product Description

Portable UV Disinfection Bag is the generation of new normal fashion bag that features its multi

purposed design for the health and safety of each user especially in the time of pandemic . It can be

conveniently operated by simply clicking the power button and selecting the desired period of time to

disinfect the bag containing objects.

According to Food and Drug Administration, Ultraviolet C radiation has been shown to destroy the

outer protein coating of the SARS-Coronavirus that leads to ultimately destruction of the virus.

In terms of power, the product has installed four lithium-ion batteries that can be fully charged through

solar energy within 16 hours facing southwest direction. It can also load power via electrical energy

in a span of 8 hours charging. This bag is employed with Ultraviolet-C light radiation which is proven

to be effective for disinfecting air, water, and nonporous surfaces that eliminates the spread of germs,

viruses, and bacteria.

The main materials used in manufacturing Portable UV Disinfection Bag are the canvas fabric,

water repellent / UV resistant fabric, non-toxic UV light, lithium - ion batteries, solar panel, framed

stretch mesh net and other accessories.

Canvas and UV resistant fabric compromise most part of the bag while the UV light serve as

the disinfection agent and the solar panel and lithium ion batteries provides the power for the product

to operate. Framed stretch mesh nets act as the item holder and divider for the UV rays to penetrate

the object.

It also comes with a handle and shoulder strap where it is easy to take and operate wherever the user

goes. Aside from its useful benefits, it is equipped with batteries that can source out its power through

solar energy with its connected to solar panel or through the use of electrical energy.

B. Competitive Advantage

When pandemic started, death rates has been rising day by day. It is the reason why a lot of people

realized how health is important. And to achieve good health and high stamina, people must learn to

change their daily routine by having a proper sleep, exercise, diet, and of course, a proper hygiene.

UVD Manufacturing Company focuses on disinfection and sanitation. It has a large competitive scope

that provides high chance of percentage that people will patronize the business. The product that the

company offers give unique features to attract consumers such as portable that has essentiality, and

effectiveness that can create barriers for the potential competitors. It doesn’t need any protection from

the environment because it is made for outdoor activities that can maintain the product well.

Aside from its advantages, UVD Manufacturing Company have an advance and quality differences

from the other product that also uses UV Lights. It is innovated and constructed as handy item to be

convenient for every user. In terms of payment, we accept different methods such as online banking,

cards, crypto currencies, and cash. We can also do scheduled delivery for the customer who is busy

or currently in vacation or same day delivery to reduce waiting time of the customer.

C. Product Pricing

Portable UV Disinfection Bag will be priced dependently on the final costing of the product: (1) the

materials must be identified specifically such as fabric, UVC light, zipper, threads, mesh nets, solar

panel, and other necessary accessories, (2) the labour of the employees including the delivery men,

guards, janitors and etc., (3) the total expenses on how much you have spent to process your product

as well as the monthly bills, and lastly (4) the additional profit to the product to allow more investment

into your futures.

IV. MARKETING PLAN

A. Market Research

Marketing is a very important aspect of business because it is where the sales came from. The aim

of marketing is the exchange of goods and services from the manufacturers to consumers. In doing

so, we need to identify the population of our target markets, primarily because they will be the one

who will purchase the product and to be marketed.

Among the twenty-four barangays in the town of Santa Maria, Bulacan, Barangay Pulong Buhangin

have the highest population in the area which equates to 41,218 people followed by Barangay

Caypombo that consist of 32,674 population.

Despite the municipality’s highest population, four barangays have top the lowest population in the

area such as Barangay Silangan that comprise of 2,102 citizen, followed by Lalakhan that holds 2,319

inhabitants.

Target Barangays

In addition, the company chooses to supply the selected barangays in Santa Maria that have

various stores through a contract of consignment. It is a great opportunity for the product to be easily

recognized and to give awareness to other consumers. The selected barangays are Caypombo, Mag-

asawang Sapa and Pulong Buhangin which have a total of 84,273.

The reason why the company selected the said barangay is because they garner the numbers

when it comes to positivity rate of COVID 19, because of their enormous population, they should be

the one to be marketed with the Portable UV bags which purpose is to protect its holder against the

harm of viruses while Mag-asawang Sapa is the closest Barangay to Caypombo and Pulong Buhangin

thus considering its location, will bring more customers to the manufacturers.

The table below the data of COVID in Santa Maria. The targeted population has a total of 258 out

of 818 COVID positive in the town, contributing 32% to the numbers of the said disease.

C. Advertisement Plan

The most effective strategies that every company do to attract more potential customers and investors

is having an advertisement plan. It is by creating a well-presented photos and details of the products

to introduce it to everyone. One of the most famous promotion method is social media because a lot

of people spend their time into their phones especially in this new normal setting. Ex: Facebook,

Instagram, Twitter, YouTube Ads and etc. Also, we can create physical advertisement like posters,

billboards, flyers, and magazines for the people who have no interest in using gadgets. And lastly, the

customer’s experience would be the best promoting idea because there are the one who already use

the product.

V. OPERATIONAL PLAN

A. Operational Schedule

UVD Manufacturing Company follows the standard business operation in the country which is from

Monday to Saturday in eight hours working day schedule beginning at eight in the morning and ends

at five in the afternoon.

B. Production Process

UVD Manufacturing Company processes bulk bags by having these steps

1. Cutting – cutting the fabric into the specific sizes to create the bag.

2. Weaving- combining warp and weft components to make a woven structure.

3. Printing – attaching the logo and other prints to the cloth.

4. Webbing - involving a yarn to create strips.

5. Sewing Unit – sewing the cloth of the bag.

6. Attachment of UV Lights and other major accessories - putting all the materials.

7. Inspection - checking the materials.

8. Test - ensuring the process if it is successfully done.

9. Packing - securing the bags.

10. Storage - stocking for future sales.

VI. MANAGEMENT AND ORGANIZATIONAL

A. Management Plan

UVD Manufacturing Company has its own organizational charts which is composed of Shareholders,

Board of Directors, Legal Department, and Director and under his supervision are the Production

Department, Investment Department, Marketing Department, Technical Department, and Human

Resources Department and the subordinates of these departments.

The following are the roles and responsibilities of the abovementioned job position:

Shareholders Duties

Takes part in decision-making with relation to the company’s goals and overall performance which

include (but are not limited to) the following:

• Changes to the constitution of the company

• Declaring a dividend

• Approving the financial statements of the company

• Winding up of the company by way of voluntary liquidation

Shareholders decision are published through either a resolution (ordinary or special) or at meetings

(general meeting or extraordinary meetings).

1. Establish the organization’s vision, mission, and purpose.

2. Hire, monitor, and evaluate the chief executive.

3. Provide proper financial oversight.

4. Ensure the organization has adequate resources.

5. Create a strategic plan and ensure that it’s followed.

8. Recruit and orient new board members and assess board performance.

9. Enhance the organization’s public standing.

10. Strengthen the organization’s programs and services.

Legal matter management: The legal department is typically responsible for all legal and legal

related external matters such as litigation, investigations, compliance, mergers and acquisitions.

A good and effective working relationship is an essential factor that is needed for a business

to function efficiently. If there's no good working relationship between the employees and the

management it will cause misunderstanding, inability of accomplishing tasks, lack of interest, and

many more.

So in order to prevent that an organization must have a good working relationship. A good

working relationship is composed of the following:
