Activity Type Introduction


Grammar and Speaking Here is a reported speech game to play in class. In the activity,

Procedure
Focus Divide the class into groups of four.
Reported speech
Split each group into two teams of two.
Imperatives
If possible, have each pair consist of a male and female to help

Aim
Give each group a set of cards.

25 minutes The team then uses reported speech to say what they think the
command was, e.g. 'She said to close the door'.

If the team says the correct reported speech sentence within the
time frame, they score a point.

The teams then swap roles, and the process is repeated.

The team with the most points at the end of the game wins.
