Note

1. Proposed materials are with Hardened and tempered(H&T) condition.

2. Ferrite-Pearlite structure (+FP) will be treated in the AS-FORGED
conditions.
3. Elongation on material will be with the range of Q7-Q11 and ≥L8 against
the required ≥Q8 and ≥L11
4. Considered test sample will be Ø30 mm longitudinal test piece.
“concurrence” specified in the specification will need to be clarified.
5. Proposed material Grain size will be 5 & finer.
6. We request you to recheck the hardness range provided i.e. 266±2 HB.
However Hardness value ≥ 266 HB corresponds to TS >900N/mm2 will be
maintained.

7. Necessary test certificates will be given at the time of dispatch.

8. Due to the inhouse measurement limitation CMM report cannot be
provided.

9. Balancing of components are not included, if applicable to be discussed

further.

SALIENT FEATURES OF OUR PROPOSAL:

• Complete manufacturing of Gear Internals and Gearbox on world’s best
Machines, Like Gleason Pfauter (Germany) for Hobbing and Profile
Grinding, capable of achieving ISO1328-1 Class 4 of Accuracy, GER (Spain)
Cylindrical Grinding Machine, and Juaristi (Spain) Horizontal Machining
Centre.

• Gearbox will be tested at full speed, no-load on a highly instrumented

test rig capable of measuring Casing vibrations by ENTEK IRD DATA PAC
1500, Noise level by RION, Bearing White Metal Temperatures by RTD,
Bearing Shell Temperature by GIC Thermometer and shaft vibrations by
Bentley Nevada online computer Monitoring system.

• Test rig has fully instrumented test rig is capable of testing up to 70 MW

gear boxes with latest data acquisition system. The test stand consists
of,

 o A variable speed DC motor capable of 600 kW output. Slave
gearbox.
o A lube oil system.

o Bentley Nevada vibration monitoring system.

o ADRE for online monitoring- to measure Vibration of shaft (Bode

plots and Polar Plots).

This monitors and records all gearbox test results, giving a complete
Analysis of
o Bearing temperatures.

o Casing Vibration.

o Oil flow.

o Noise.

 EXPORT ANNEXURE

General terms & Conditions:

1. Procurement and manufacturing will start only after receipt of GA Approval

Or, against specific approval by customer in writing.
2. Delivery terms:
a. Stage inspection: Clearance/ rejection shall be arranged not more
than 3 days from the date of inspection as this will have
repercussions on delivery.
b. Mechanical run test: This will be performed at our facility in Mysore,
India. Triveni will carry out one-time testing, which can be witnessed
by Third party if required. Any additional testing if specially requested
will be charged nominal extra.
3. All the documents will be in English language only. Nominal Charges for
Translation to any other language if required shall be to purchasers
account.

Warranty Terms:

4. Triveni has institutionalized warranty for such overseas installations as

given below.
a. The gearbox is warranted for a period of 12 months from date of
commissioning or 18 Months from date of dispatch whichever is
earlier.
b. Warranty includes design and manufacturing defects and excludes
improper handling or improper use.
c. Warranty will get nullified if the operation of gearbox is found
deviating from Triveni’s installation, commissioning and operating
procedures.
d. In case of any manufacturing defects, full opportunity will be given to
carry out repair either at the site or at Triveni works as applicable.
e. In case the damage is irreparable and during the warranty period, the
damaged parts shall be given by Triveni as free issue.
f. During warranty period, Packing and Transportation cost of damaged
/ replaced part, to & fro Triveni Facility at Mysore, India would be to
purchaser’s account. The cost of transportation including custom
clearance for getting the damaged part to Triveni facility would also
be to purchaser account.
g. Service Engineer visit to the site during the warranty period will be
chargeable as per mutually agreed norms.
h. Service Engineer visit to the site after the warranty period will be as
per mutually agreed norms.
