2 Tool IdNo 56302210 for PK31
2-1 Description
This tool is composed by a main beam (1), an extension tube (2), fixation bolts and washers (3, 4), and a central
hoist point (5). Manufacturing details can be found on the Z43401126 drawing
The two beams conform a telescopic device, which can be extended in a way to fit with the different BK values
existing in Schindler 3100/ 3300/5300/6300 product lines with PK31 car
The central hoist point (5) can be located at different positions according to the holes (6) disposed along the
beam, in a way to be approximately centered on the tool once adjusted to the required BK
The tool is attached to the structural car roof by means of two M20 bolts (3, 4) and washers. M20 nuts (10) are
foreseen to keep the main bolts (4) and spacers (7) on place during transport and storage

2-2 Before installing the tool
Danger !
The following checking points are mandatory before installing the car hanging tool
Do not use the tool if any of the above checks is not positive!
• Perform the following general checking prior to the car hanging tool installation
No Step
200 Check visually the absence of damaged parts
201 Check visually in all the parts the absence of corrosion
202 Check the existence of a welding point (1) on the nut under the eyebolt. This weld-
ing point prevents the nut going out from the eyebolt thread
203 Check on the central hoist point the existence of the load plate (2) which informs
of the maximum allowable load

2-3 Installation of the car hanging tool IdNo 56302210
No Step
204 Extend the tool in a way to fit with the required BK dimension and the correspond-
ing distance between the two lateral car fixation points
Caution!
For the following cases, only the main beam (1) has to be used:
• Schindler 3300, GQ400, BKS1062
• Schindler 3100, GQ535, BKS1090
No Step
205 Locate the hole which fits with the central position, install the hoist point housing
and secure it by means of a M10x100 bolt (2), washer and nut
206 Fix the assembly to the car roof using the two main M20x180 bolts (3), washers
(4) and tube spacers (5)
207 Tighten the M20 bolts firmly (6) by using an open-end spanner
Danger !
During the tightening operation, check that the M20 bolt's thread enters a minimum of
15mm into the car roof fixation point (7)

4 Tool IdNo 56302406 for MOS 2100x1100 BKxTK wide cars
4-1 Description
This tool is composed by a main beam (1), fixation bolts and washers (2, 3) and a central hoist point (4).
Manufacturing details can be found in Z43401304
The main beam has a fix length and can only be used for a single BKS value of 2146mm (the standard BKS for
the MOS wider 2100x1100 BKxTK cars).
The tool includes a central hoist point fixed with three bolts (). Contrary to the other tool versions, this central
point cannot be shifted in BK direction
The tool is attached to the structural car roof by means of two M20 bolts (2, 3) and washers

5 Use of the tools
The scope defined on chapter 1 applies. The integration of these tools within the Schindler 3100 / 3300 / 5300 /
6300 installation methodology is described into the K609754 and XXXXXX documents. In particular, the
methods state that the car is used as a working platform in combination with its safety gear, driven by the
corresponding overspeed governor
Danger !
• Maximum hoisting capacity is 1250 kg
• The car structure (used as a working platform during the installation phase) has to
be equiped with the corresponding safety gear&overspeed governor set (or
®
equivalent certified independent fall arrest device like Tirak-blocstop for countries
with special local safety codes)
• For the 56302378/MOD tool, the maximum extension length is 1200mm!
• For the 56302406/MOS tool, an unique inter-hole distance of 2030mm can be
used!
6 Maintenance instructions
The tools have to be keept free from dust, oil, grease and humidity:
• Use a cotton cloth to remove dust and humidity
• Use in addition some white spirit to remove grease and oil
7 Transport, Storage, Life time
The tool can be transported and stored in any location preserved from rain/water projections and humidity. Use
the supplied M20 nuts (1) to keep the main M20 bolts (2) and spacers (3) in place during transport
Special instructions to transport the 56302378 tool:
• Assenbly and secure together the internal and the external beams by using one of the M20 bolts (2) as
shown on the figure: This will avoid any unexpected slide of the inner tube
• Tighten the two M8 bolts (4) to avoid any sliding of the hoist point
4 1
1
The car-hanging tool has an expected lifetime of 10 years. Nevertheless -as described in chapter 2-2- signs of
corrosion, damages or inadequate use may invalidate the use of the tool in a shorter period
