Media Grassroots Campaigning via Social Media: Mobilization and Fundraising on Facebook
Abstract: While recent studies examine social media adoption by politicians, this study follows in the
path of Gainous and Wagner (2014) by examining the content of social media communications from
U.S. Senators and candidates for the Senate. We develop a marketing based theory to explain which
candidates are more likely to use social media for mobilization and fundraising. Through content
analysis of over 15,000 Facebook posts made by candidates for the U.S. Senate, our analysis
provides insight into the determinants of grassroots behavior on social media. We find that grassroots
campaigning more commonly among challengers and Tea Party candidates who lack the name

positioning of candidates, influences social media posting strategies, with candidates in competitive
races and candidates trailing their opponent more actively engaging in online grassroots campaigning.
Social media platforms are among the most visited websites in the United States, comprising three of
the
top 10 most frequented sites as of February 2015 (YouTube #2, Facebook #3, and Twitter #7). Given
their
widespread use among the public, it is not surprising that nearly every member of Congress and

practically just symbols. There is about 700 to 800 symbols in the Egyptian hieroglyphics called
glyphs. One symbol could mean two different words. If you use one symbol and put it with another
symbol, you get a brand new word. There is no punctuation or any spacing in between each symbol.
Also there is absolutely no vowels in hieroglyphics. Just consents. Some hieroglyphics represent

difficult things to be successful at. Chess is a mental battle that all be it is much shorter than life, it is
still
a
battle that requires strategies in order to be successful. Besides chess being a matchup of pieces, the
similarities between chess and life are evident and can be compared to many parts of life, ultimately
showing that strategies are required to become successful. A game crafted by L shaped moves,
diagonal slides with fuzz on the bottom of a bishop, as well as numbers and letters riding along the
entire 64 spaced square. Chess is not just an activity but a way to relieve stress, show one s
intelligence to others, and prove your endurance through another typical game. The black pawn short,
round topped, and terribly stubborn. The black pawn, is the biggest obstacle towards winning a
match. Conquering one black pawn at a time is just the same as overcoming a challenge in our lives.
But wait, aren t there eight pawns? Yes, yes there are.Throughout life, there will always be an
endless amount of pawns that will have to beat, and while it may be tough, the lessons I will learn
from winning each conflict will shape people into a more effective player in the chess game of life.
As a similarity to chess, life is all about endurance, and with endurance comes resilience and
motivation. With those traits people can better prepare oneself to overcome challenges encountered.

Canada was ceded by New France and came under British rule the year 1763 with Treaty of Paris .
Many provinces of Canada then became part of the British Empire and it soon started expanding. At
first, France saw Aboriginal people as allies and relied on them for trade wealth and their own
survival. After the transfer of power from French to British, diplomatic relations and alliances
between them began to cease (http://www.thecanadianencyclopedia.ca/en/article/aboriginal french

the
British North America Act was passed in 1867, the government was required to provide education to
these people to help them integrate with the society. The government tried many ways to achieve that
but
there was no success. In the beginning of 20th century, the government and the churches came
together and developed a system residential schools. Most of these schools were in the four Western
provinces and the territories, but there were also significant numbers in northwestern Ontario and in
northern QuГ©bec. By 1930, the residential school system had a total of about 80 institutions. Three
fifths was operated by the Roman Catholic Church, one quarter by the Anglican Church and the rest
by
United and Presbyterian Churches ( http:/ /www.thecanadianencyclopedia.ca/en/article/residential

Essay
Since
its

the
No
Child

Act
(NCLB)
has
only
made
the
divide
in
quality
of
education
greater,
and
was
ultimately
detrimental
to
the
American
Education
System.
When
President
George
Bush
first
proposed
the
NCLB,
his
intention
was
to
level
the
playing
field
and
provide
an
equally
excellent
educationfor
every
American
student,
what
happened
though,
could
not
have
been
further
from
George
Bush
s
intentions.
The
whole
basis
of
the
NCLB
is
funding
for
performance,
meaning
that
schools
will
receive
funding
proportional
to
how
well
they
perform
on
federally
mandated
standardized
tests.
At
the

As
time
went
on,
these
schools
saw
less
and
less
federal
funding,
resulting
in
progressively
worse
test
scores.
The
situation
is
a
true
catch
22,
since
the
only
way
to
get
more
funding
is
by
having
high
performing
students,
which
itself
requires
more
funding.
For
most
schools
in
this
situation,
they
would
ultimately
be
without
federal
funding
after
repeated
failed
attempts
at
meeting
federal
guidelines.
Meanwhile,
affluent
suburban
schools
were
receiving
more
funding
than
before
as
a
result
of
their
already
high
test
scores.
This
created
a
growing
divide
between
the
quality
of
education
in
America;
schools
were
either
well
funded
or
left
in
the
dust.
As
per
the
legislation,
schools
were
given
three
years
to
improve
their
scores
or
be
left
behind.
Rather
than
put
the
blame
on
a
lack
of
funding
though,
President
Bush
instead
cited
a
stubborn
attitude
and
unwillingness
to
change
as
reasons
for
failure
amongst
poor
performing
schools.
It
is
quite
evident
that
the
former
president
grossly
misunderstood
the
dynamics
of
underfunded
schools,
since
this
rationale
mostly
isolated
schools
in
poorer
areas
and
punished
them
for
what
they
could
not
help.
When
asked
president
George
Bush
said
that
he
was
giving
these
poor
performing
schools
an
opportunity
to
perform;
however,
the
grace
period
he
so
generously
allowed,
did
not
include
any
new
additional
funding
during
that
time
span.

by
this

Sending

doesn’t

that

Many
people
naively
assume
that
an
AutoCAD

always

that’s
often

Each

The
table above doesn’t exhaust the types of files that your DWG files might refer to. Custom plotter
settings (such as custom paper sizes) may reside in PC3 or PMP files. If you use sheet sets, DST files
contain
information about the sheet structure. An FMP file controls some aspects of font mapping. Look up
sheet sets and the FONTALT and FONTMAP system variables in the AutoCAD online help system
for
detailed information. Using AutoCAD’s rapid eTransmit Fortunately, AutoCAD’s ETRANSMIT
command pulls together all files that the main DWG file depends on. Follow these steps to assemble
a
drawing
with
all
its
dependent
files
by
using ETRANSMIT: Open the drawing on which you want to run ETRANSMIT. If the drawing is
already
open, save it. You have to save the file just before using ETRANSMIT. Click the Application button
and
choose
Publish→eTransmit from the Application menu. The Create Transmittal dialog box appears. On the
Files
Tree tab or the Files Table tab, remove the check mark next to any file that you want ETRANSMIT
not
to
copy with the main drawing. Unless you have assigned custom font mapping, you can omit the
Acad.fmp file (in AutoCAD) or acadlt.fmp (in AutoCAD LT). Select a transmittal setup from the
list. Transmittal setups contain settings that control how ETRANSMIT processes the drawings and
creates the transmittal package. Click the Transmittal Setups button to create new setups or modify
existing setups. The default Standard transmittal setup works fine for most purposes. In any case,
you
should
view the settings (click the Modify button) just to see what options you can change if you need to
later. If you want AutoCAD to include SHX and TTF font files, including any custom fonts that
you’re using, you must turn on the Include Fonts setting in the transmittal setup. However, many
custom fonts work like licensed software. Sending them to others is just like sharing your AutoCAD
program
installation media with others: illegal and unethical. Don’t share licensed text fonts outside your
organization. Click the View Report button. You see a report listing the files that ETRANSMIT will
copy, along with warnings about any files that it can’t locate. Review the report and make sure that
ETRANSMIT was able to find all the files. If files are missing, find them and move or copy them to
the
location where ETRANSMIT expects to find them. Click OK. Specify the name and location of the
transmittal package. Click Save. ETRANSMIT creates the transmittal package (which is a ZIP file by
default). Zipping creates a single, tidy, compact package of all your DWG, DGN, DWF, PDF, raster
image, plot style table, and font files — all ready to be emailed. FTP for you and me: Sharing your
AutoCAD
files
File
Transfer Protocol (FTP) is a system for sharing files over the Internet. A computer that’s connected to
the
Internet
can
act as an FTP server, which means that part of its hard drive is accessible over the Internet. The
person
who
configures the FTP server can place restrictions so that only people who enter a particular logon name
and
password can see and download files. FTP overcomes the file size limitations that often occur with
email. Because of all these FTP benefits, people at larger companies commonly place drawing files
on
their
company’s FTP sites and tell you to get the files. This approach relieves them of having to email you
the
files,
and
it
relieves you of having to wait for that 19.9MB email download when you least expected it. The
person
making the files available to you via FTP usually sends you a Uniform Resource Locator (URL) that
looks like a web page address, except that it starts with ftp:// instead of http://. Simply enter the FTP
URL into the address field of your web browser and follow any instructions regarding the login
name, password, filename that may appear. Increasing cloudiness: Using cloud services to swap
AutoCAD
files
The
trend these days is away from private FTP sites due to the proliferation of free or inexpensive
services
such as Google Drive and Dropbox. These services work on pretty much the same principle. You
upload a file or files and assign access rights. The intended recipient or recipients then receive an
invitation email that grants access to the specified file or files. Okay, here’s a change already. Until
recently, A360 was called Autodesk 360. Subject to change … … Oops, it changed again. Bad
reception? If you are on the receiving end of incoming drawings, as soon as you receive them
(zipped, hopefully), copy the file to a new folder on your hard drive or a network disk and then
unzip the files. Check at least a few drawings in the package to make sure that all the xrefs and other
reference files, fonts, and raster image files are included. Open each main drawing in the folder,
press F2 to view the AutoCAD text window, and look for missing font and xref error messages, like
this
example: Substituting [simplex.shx] for [helv.shx]. Resolve Xref “GRID”:
C:\Here\There\Nowhere\grid.dwg Can’t find C:\Here\There\Nowhere\grid.dwg Write down each
missing file and then tell the sender to get on the ball (in a nice way, of course) and send you the
missing pieces. If you receive drawings with custom TrueType font files (files whose extensions are
TTF), you must install those files in Windows\Fonts folder (not in one of AutoCAD’s support
folders) before Windows and AutoCAD will recognize them. All you need to do is to right-click the
TTF
file
name, and then choose Install. If you move project folders around or transfer drawings to or from
somewhere else, AutoCAD may not be able to locate any raster image files and DWF/DWFx, DGN,
PDF
underlays and font files. The ETRANSMIT command does a good job of gathering dependent
reference files, raster files, and font files, but it can’t gather what AutoCAD can’t locate. The
AutoCAD
Reference
Manager utility (not included with AutoCAD LT) is a real lifesaver if you’re suffering from file-path
perils, whether they occur in your own company or when sending files to, or receiving them from,
others. Reference Manager is a separate program, not a command inside AutoCAD. Follow these
steps to launch the utility from the Windows desktop: Start Reference Manager. The process depends
on
your
version of Windows and how you have set it up. The bottom line is that Reference Manager is a
separate program, so it must be started accordingly. The Reference Manager program opens. Click the
Add
Drawings button to add one or more DWG files to the Drawings pane on the left. Navigate to the
folder that contains the drawings you want to send, select them, and then click Open. In the
Reference
Manager – Add Xrefs dialog box, choose Add All Xrefs Automatically Regardless of Nesting Level.
The
Reference
Manager processes the drawings and displays all referenced objects in its right pane. Click Export
Report to create a text report listing all dependent files and their paths, or click Edit Selected Paths
to
modify the paths of selected reference files. If you choose to modify any selected paths, click Apply
Changes. When you’re finished exporting reports and repathing reference files (or finding reference
files
that
you
may
never
have
suspected you had if you hadn’t run the Reference Manager), close the Reference Manager window.
Click the Help button in the Reference Manager to find out more about the utility’s capabilities. If
you
always
store
parent and child DWG files in the same folder, which is the simplest approach to dealing with xref
paths, you probably don’t need to use the Reference Manager. AutoCAD can also save files in the
ubiquitous PDF (Portable Document Format) from Adobe Systems. Files can be opened, viewed,
and
printed from virtually any type and model of computing or communicating device. This format can
be
particularly useful when you want to show drawing information to people who aren’t particularly
CAD literate (that is, they aren’t fellow geeks). Chrome OS * negative, displays the error message:

11. Jehovah s Witness And Blood Transfusion Jehovah s Witness and Blood Transfusion Ruta
Urbstaite Framingham State University Abstract The purpose of this paper is to identify the
characteristics, values and beliefs of Jehovah s Witness group. It will discuss their reasoning for
refusal to accept blood transfusions. The paper will elaborate on the best approach to offer
appropriate care, advice and education while treating patients with respect in regards to their
religious beliefs. British Journal of Nursing (2009) suggests that good, honest communication,
without any element of coercion or scare tactics, is the key in the management of Jehovah s Witness
patients. A lot of people are unfamiliar with Jehovah s Witnesses (J.W.) population and their religious
believes. As stated in the Funk Wagnalls New World Encyclopedia, J.W., Christian sect, founded in
1872 in Pittsburgh, Pa., by the American clergyman Charles Taze Russell, with congregations
throughout the world. The legal governing body of J. W. is the Watch Tower Bible (Funk Wagnalls
New World Encyclopedia, 2014). After researching the values and beliefs of J.W. and comparing
them to Christianity, Professor Watson found quite a few differences (Walston, R., 2004). One of the
major differentiating characteristics of J. W. is their refusal to accept bloodtransfusions because it is
considered to be a sin. Members of this sect refuse blood mainly based on the Book of Acts that says

Night s Dream In the book, A Midsummer Night s Dream, by William Shakespeare, Hermia is a
strong willed woman who wants to be free to marry her true love Lysander. She cannot marry him,
because her father, Egeus, is making her marry Demetrius. She has two other choices, to either
become a nun or die. She is not happy with his decision and feels he is being unfair. Lysander and
Hermiaplan to run away with each other to escape her father and the Athenian law. Hermia s friend,
Helena, may stop those plans though, because she is in lovewith Demetrius. She hopes to win
Demetrius back by foiling Hermia s plans. We will hear more about this intriguing story in just a bit.

that will make me less likely to love them. If there is not love in a marriage then you should have no
marriage at all. When I marry someone, it will because I love them. It will not be because my father

Nickel and Dimed by Barbara Ehrenreich, who is a famous journalist and writer, she explores how
low wage workers survive in America by going undercover to learn for herself. Her project begins in
Florida where she worked as a waitress. Her goal throughout the entire project was to manage
enough
money to pay a second month of rent. Ehrenreich fails at her first job . Ehrenreich then explores
Maine where she begins living in a motel. Ehrenreich gets hired as a housekeeper at a nursing home
and
a
maid. By the end of her time in Maine, Ehrenreich exposes who she really is. Ehrenreich then
explores her last state, Minnesota. Ehrenreich finds a job as a retail worker and begins doing fine but
later begins hating her job. It is to complicated looking at Ehrenreich s success or failure of the
whole project because one can not say what one feels about the whole book because it is to long
especially because ones paper to write is to short. Criteria is important because it brings satisfaction

The
phone and portable charger found a home in my pocket, as I made my way over to the line, tripping
not
once but twice before getting settled in line. I heard him chuckle, but refused to look back at him, in
fear of my face giving off more embarrassment. Another zillion announcements, the boarding of the
plane commenced as I prayed there would be no more graceful fumbles for the rest of the day.
Casually watching people boarding the plan, beginning to wonder if this really was Brent s plane
since he still had to board and the people coming on had trickled to only one or two every few
seconds. The crazy thought, fell to the wayside when he finally boarded, flashed a smile as he

She s a flight attendant now, been so for almost ten years. Now that has to be exciting. We never see

lady continued small talk for a few minutes, about the places she has been visiting, especially the
airports. With the conversation moving along the letter hidden in my pocket was forgotten about until
a
flight attendant came to my seat. Bent over my neighbor, she spoke quietly, Excuse me are you
Jessa? Um, yeah? With a bright smile, she continued on, The gentleman in 21A said that you would
have an answer for him about a lunch date. The heat rose in my face, cowering into my hands, I didn

me to tell you, he ll understand if you don t want to and that he still wants to pay for your on board

gushed, which one is he? she began to stand up. The action caused me to move my hands away from
my face, as I gave a slight tug on her coat and she slowly sat back down but still trying to sneak a

Student Nonviolent Coordinating Committee By Martin... The Student Nonviolent Coordinating
Committee was an interracial group formed in 1960 that intended on ending racial segregation. In
1961 several African Americans were beat and imprisoned for their continued efforts towards racial
non segregation. In 1962 James Meredith attempted to register for college at the University of
Mississippi. White law officials instructed to defend the African Americanstudent, were assaulted by
white mobs. These important events in history ultimately led to the nonviolent civil disobedience.
Ultimately leading up to the Letter of Birmingham. Martin Luther King Jr. introduced nonviolent
civil disobedience in 1963. This was created since he and other activist were simply tired of waiting
for
results. King organized massive civil rights demonstrators to fight against segregation in
Birmingham. The historical events that happened in the 1960 s was the turning point for segregation
in
American history. President Kennedy was on board as far as supporting the civil rights movement,
