Introduction
The purpose of this study report is to discuss, raise awareness of, and provide a solution
for the waste management issue at the International Colegio de Tecnologia San Miguel annex.
Proper trash disposal wass implemented. However, it is not well observed. Since certain
pollutants, such as hazardous wastes, might endanger the environment if improperly managed
and disposed of, proper waste management is essential.
Republic Act 9003 states that because wastes can include bacteria and poisons, adequate
disposal practices must be followed in order to safeguard the environment and public health.
This demonstrates how having a clean environment can reduce the risk of being sick. The target
community's awareness, attitude, and practices can make a big difference in how well
appropriate trash disposal is implemented. Let's attempt to refuse as well, as the phenomena is
beckoning and the phrases reuse, reduce, and recycle are itching in our minds. Refuse to engage
in harmful behaviors that could exacerbate the condition of our environment, such as pollution.
Background of the problem

practices. Furthermore, these individuals are ignorant of the effects that inappropriate garbage
disposal has on their surroundings. If things get worse, it will have an impact on everyone in the
community's personal health and way of life, especially the individuals engaging in this kind of
improper behavior.
The situation that I choose in this topic is the problem in the Improper Waste Disposal
Towards the Health of Student in Internacional Colegio de Tecnologia San Miguel annex, this
way of disposal is not eco-friendly and can affect the student itself and the people can inhale the
emission of smoke. This way of waste disposal can also lead to a number of diseases especially
respiratory disease, such as asthma, bronchitis and emphysema. Burning trash can be also
dangerous if not been supervised, fire can spread and burn nearby trees, wood houses and can
harm animals. This way of disposal contributes so much in worldwide known global warming as
burning ways to leads to air pollution since greenhouse gases have been released
The issue I've chosen for this topic is the improper disposal of waste at the International Colegio
de Tecnologia San Miguel annex, which is harmful to students' health and not environmentally
friendly. Smoke emissions from this disposal method can also damage nearby residents. A
variety of illnesses, particularly respiratory conditions like emphysema, bronchitis, and asthma,
can also be brought on by this method of disposing of trash. If trash is not properly disposed of,
it can catch fire, spread quickly, destroy neighboring trees and wooden houses, and endanger
wildlife. This method of disposal releases greenhouse gases into the atmosphere, which is one of
the main causes of the widely recognized global warming. Burning methods also cause air
pollution. This situation currently evident in the whole world, these problem should be managed
because these cause global warming and climate change that can harm the people of the future
generation.
Statement of the Problem
The objective of this study is to let the Health of Student in Internacional Colegio de
Tecnologia San Miguel annex know how to properly dispose their garbage. Some factors affect
the student way on garbage trucks to that may collect their garbage and the students were
accustomed on incinerating their own garbage.

Scope and Delimitation
The study will be conducted to determine the improper waste management, disciplined
and practices among the establishment in Internacional Colegio de Tecnologia San Miguel
annex. It focused on the awareness, disciplined, and practice of proper waste management in
school. Will only tackle the segregation and recycling of waste management in the school. 20
students will be distributed with survey checklist during the data gathering. This will be
conducted and be completed before the end of the second semester school year 2023-2024.

CHAPTER II
REVIEW OF RELATED LITERATURE
This research shows the related concepts, definitions and classifications about solid waste
management and composting.
According to Iyyanki Muralikrishna and Valli Manickam from ResearchGate (December,
2017), "Without an effective and efficient waste management program, the waste generated from
various human activities, both industrial and domestic, can result in health hazards and have a
negative impact on the environment". An effective and efficient waste management program is a
way for an area to have a clean and safe environment. The researchers have formulated a way to
accomplish the aim of Iyyanki Muralikrishna and Valli Manickam. The kind of problem that any
community faces determines the appropriate treatments and disposal techniques. Any responsible
community member or resident can implement an effective remedy for the benefit of the
environment. According to their can also put the occupants' health at risk. There must be proper
resident awareness and discipline. The biggest issue facing solid waste management today is the
lack of discipline exhibited by some individuals, which contributes to the rising incidence of
garbage problems that also influence air pollution, soil and water contamination, floods, and an
excessive number of rats and vermin.
However, Taguti, Francoso Viera (2017) claimed that, "Biodegradable materials are
sustainability the conventional materials in many different applications. Among these, an
important class is the biodegradable polymers, also known as eco-friendly polymers mainly due
to their ability to erode fast by composting without any toxic effect." Solid waste management
can be done in different eco-friendly ways. Among these are: Making less
waste through reusing, rehoming for waste elimination and refining footprint examples include
reusing mall plastic bags rather of throwing them away and repurposing plastic cups to hold
plants or as plant pots. People can even try selling the reusable items. Composting is an
additional method of trash removal in which waste is placed in a compost pit where it will
eventually break down and become fertilizer. Additionally, rather than tossing away food waste,
it can be fed to farm animals including goats, pigs, and cows.
"Improper waste disposal is one of the biggest environmental issues here in the
Philippines. It causes bigger problems that affect not only the environment but also the health
and life of the people. This pronounce may be resolve or it will remain problem to the country in
the next few years," states Khylle Tumala (January 2015) from her study on the effects of
improper waste disposal in the Philippines. A law was passed in the Philippines on January 26,
2001, by the Office of the President in response to the nation's fast increasing garbage problems,
which were brought on by inappropriate waste disposal. Regretfully, despite the existence of
legislation, inappropriate trash disposal was shown to be the third most common cause of water
contamination in the Philippines in a research conducted in February 2015.
CHAPTER III
Research Methodology
This chapter presents and clarifies all the details of the procedures followed in conducting
the study. This chapter includes the discussion of the design of the research, description of
research instrument to be use, description of the locale of the study, steps in collecting data
methods of analyzing and interpreting the data. Searching for valid reliable sources of data and
information for this study was a challenge
for the researchers. The researchers looked for several articles, theses and research works in
order to gather information and conducted sampling in order to acquire the data required for
this study.
Research Design
A case study, a sort of quantitative research, was used in this study to identify the issues
facing the International Colegio de Tecnologia with regard to appropriate garbage disposal. A
few students were questioned for this study to learn more about their present lifestyle and the
issues they are facing. A case study is an approach that centers on the particular issues that
individuals are facing at that moment. The researchers would offer a creative and practical
solution to address or resolve the specific problem as a result of these experiences.
Instrument of the Study
Researchers interviewed Internacional Colegio de Tecnologia students to
obtain information about any concerns or difficulties the school was experiencing.
During this interview, I ask a few residents to respond to some often asked
questions about how they dispose of their trash. The researcher walked up to the
student and gave a brief introduction before outlining the goal of the study.
Data Collection
To begin, the researcher will write a letter to the school of Internacional
Colegio de Tecnologia where we conducted our study, requesting permission to
conduct the study. The researcher will proceed next to ask permission from the
student of this school to distribute questionnaires to residents about improper waste
disposal.
Data Analysis Plan
The researchers will pay a visit to the selected student's Internacional
Colegio de Tecnologia school. Researchers at the Internacional Colegio de
Tecnologia (ICT) San Miguel campus adhere to ethical norms when doing
research, and the principal of the institution will grant the necessary consent and
permission. The researcher will send the questionnaire to the respondents directly,
and they will be asked the following questions.

In this study researchers choose 20 randomly students of Internacional
Colegio de Tecnologia San Miguel campus who are actively participating in
school. Those who are in school that can respond the following queries.
