Gift Bag Production


I. Instructions
1. The class will be divided into five groups or as instructed by the teacher.
2. The group will assume that they are working at different companies who are
manufacturers of gift bags.
3. A big-time client is looking for a manufacturer of gift bags. This client is known to be
very detailed in terms of quality output, cost-effective materials, and in terms of an on-
time delivery.
4. However, the client wants to assure the company’s reliability in terms of high-quality
product and timeliness. Thus, before closing any deal, this big-time client ordered first
from each company to test their reliability.
5. The teacher may portray as the big-time client.

II. Task:
1. Each company (group) should create a customized gift bag within 10 minutes.
2. Choose someone in your group to create a link using a google drive document where
you can work with your groupmates online interactively.
3. Make sure to share the google drive document link to all members of the group and
participating in this task.
4. Record this interactive online task. The recording may be done through screen
recording or your mobile phone.
5. Submit the recorded task to the requesting manufacturer (teacher) by uploading it
through the google drive link provided in your LMS or as instructed by your teacher.
6. Note that your goal for this task is to be time conscious and to be creative.

1. What drives your group to finish the task in making a customized gift bag?
Our group is driven by a collective passion for creativity, attention to detail, a
sense of achievement, and the desire to bring joy to the recipient (if possible
that we can produce it). We are motivated to create a customized gift bag that
showcases our artistic abilities and reflects the recipient's unique personality.
We keep it simple but aesthetic by incorporating motivational lines. The
process of working together as a team, supporting one another, and witnessing
the final result of our hard work fills us with a sense of accomplishment and
satisfaction. Ultimately, our goal is to make a positive impact on the recipient
by providing them with a beautifully crafted and personalized gift bag that will
bring them happiness and make their gift-giving experience special.
2. What are your observed hindrances of finishing the task?
During the process of finishing the task of making a customized gift bag, we
have observed several hindrances that can impede our progress. One
significant obstacle is the constraint of time. Depending on the complexity of
the design and the number of gift bags to be made, there may be limited time
available, which adds pressure and may compromise the attention to detail.
Additionally, a lack of ideas, can hinder our workflow and limit our ability to

fully execute our envisioned design. Unforeseen challenges, such as technical


difficulties or unexpected issues, may also arise, further complicating the task
and slowing down our progress. It is essential to identify and address these
hindrances effectively in order to overcome them and successfully complete the
task.
3. Why does goal-setting is important in relation to the group task and to your
students’ life?
Goal-setting is crucial in both the context of the group task, such as making a
customized gift bag, and in one's student life. In the group task, setting clear
goals provides a sense of direction and purpose, guiding the team towards a
common objective. It helps establish expectations, timelines, and specific
outcomes to strive for. By setting goals, the group can prioritize tasks, allocate
time effectively, and stay focused on the desired end result, increasing
productivity and ensuring a successful completion of the project. Similarly, in
student life, goal-setting enables individuals to identify their aspirations, plan
their academic journey, and outline the steps needed to achieve desired
outcomes. It promotes self-motivation, provides a roadmap for progress, and
helps in managing time and efforts efficiently. Goals serve as a source of
inspiration and accountability, encouraging personal growth and fostering a
sense of accomplishment when they are achieved.
