• Conduct inspections of the critical asset and defect assessment based on the client’s inquiries
• Performing the Corrosion risk and Remaining Life Assessments
• Preparing the repair designs, technical proposals, and procedure statements

PROJECT ENGINEER, US-PAKISTAN CENTER FOR ADV. STUDIES IN ENERGY, PAKISTAN
In the capacity of this position, I worked on two industrial R&D projects:
➢ Corrosion Failure Analysis of a Production Tubing in a Gas condensate well:
The project was a result of a collaboration between USPCAS-E UET Peshawar and Orient Petroleum Limited
(OPL) to carry out a failure analysis of a production tubing in a gas condensate well located in Ratana Gas
Field Pakistan with the objectives of finding out the mode and the root cause of the failure as well as to
formulate a strategy to prevent such failures in the future. During this project, my responsibilities included:
✓ Formulating the research plan based on standard & industry best practices
✓ Conducting the experimentation and analytical procedures as per the devised plan
✓ Systemic analysis of the data obtained from the experimentation to find the answers
✓ Writing a project report describing the methodologies, findings, and recommendations
Key Accomplishments:
✓ The findings and recommendations in the project report were well received and shared with the asset
integrity management team to consider them for inclusion in their AIM program.
✓ A research paper based on the work was accepted and presented at a national conference.
✓ Another research paper is currently under review to be published in an international journal.
➢ Improving the thermal and dielectric breakdown strength of transformer oil by the introduction of
synthetic nanofluids:
This applied project was funded by the United States Agency for International Development (USAID)
Pakistan, in which I led a team of 5 engineering students in the following activities:
✓ Designing the research plan for the project based on the literature review
✓ Developing various nanofluids with different ceramic nanoparticles
✓ Testing of each formulated nanofluid for the dielectric strength and thermal conductivity.

Association (NMA) in collaboration with NOV Fiber Glass Systems Saudi Arabia, I acquired both theoretical
knowledge and hands-on experience in the manufacturing, installation, and inspection of non-metallic
Fiberglass pipes, including RTR and RTP. At the training conclusion, I successfully secured certification for
inspecting non-metallic pipe systems.

Corrosion Failure Analysis of a Production Tubing in a Gas condensate well
Failed production tubing in a gas condensate well operated by Ocean Pakistan Limited (formerly Orient
Petroleum Limited) was analyzed for the cause of failure. The major causes of failure were determined. Different
strategies were suggested to prevent such a sudden failure in the future.

Chemical recycling of PET waste


The processes of Glycolysis, Methanolysis, and Hydrolysis were studied in detail, carried out in the laboratory,
and evaluated economically. The effects of different parameters on these recycling methods were also
determined by different laboratory experiments.
