Internship (Observer) Program

The Department has provision for internship program in clinical psychology for M.A./M.SC.
PSYCHOLOGY students, who has internship as a curriculum of Post Graduate course.

Program Sessions:
● January – February
● April - May
● July- August
Any revision in the program will be updated in the website

Program Eligibility & Duration:


 Institutes offers maximum 2 months (6 days a week attendance is mandatory) internship
program to the students who are currently pursuing Post Graduation in Psychology or
equivalent courses or PG Diploma in related field and Internship is part of their
curriculum.
 Students who are currently pursuing or just completed graduate program in psychology
or equivalent subject are not accepted for internship.
 Any candidate with Post Graduate Degree in Psychology or equivalent subject wants to
do the internship program as part of experience gathering, are also not accepted.
 Part-time internship cannot be accepted

Number of Seats:
Maximum 10 per session

Program Details:
Internship includes- Learning case history taking, case study discussion with a designated
supervisor, attending academic programs (departmental seminar, case conference, journal club
etc.) and observation of psychological assessment procedure.
N.B. Observation of psychotherapy sessions and administering psychological assessment with
the clients are not included. If anyone is found to take photo of the psychological test materials
or getting a photocopy of the psychological tests available at the institute, internship would be
terminated immediately and the concerned institute/ college would be notified about the same.
Program Fee:
As per the policy of the Institute.

Kindly attach a reference/ recommendation/ authentication letter from the head of the
department/ course coordinator. The letter should mention the name and contact details of the
referee.

Selection is done on first come first serve basis provided the candidate is meeting the eligibility
criteria for internship, ready to follow the policy of the institute and seats are not filled-up for
the mentioned session.
