Quenched and tempered
steel plates (Q&T)
This type of product is manufactured using special
heat treatment (quenching and tempering, Q&T), which
provides high tensile strength, hardness and impact
strength.

Q&T has a unique combination of wear resistance,

strength and deformation resistance, which is why it
is used in structures and equipment subject to extreme
loads: during the manufacture of mining and heavy
construction machinery, crane equipment, offshore
drilling units and support structures for offshore wind
power stations, and during the construction of bridges
and trestles.

Thermomechanically strengthened steel plates with
an improved fine-grain metal structure (TMCP steel products)
According to thermomechanically controlled rolling
technology (TMCP), the final fine-grain microstructure
of the metal is obtained by rolling within the temperature
range of 900-700° and by micro-alloying.
TMCP steel products do not require additional off-line
heat treatment and have minimum use of alloying ele-
ments.

The TMCP allows for obtaining a unique fine-grain

metal structure, which provides for high strength,
good formability and high impact strength. TMCP
steel products have a low carbon equivalent and thus
good weldability.
