The four seasons

- What is spring like ?

It’s spring and there are a lot of flowers and delicious fruit(s)*. Birds are singing
and chirping*. It’s warm and we can play in the garden.

- What is summer like?

It’s summer and it’s sunny and hot. We eat a fresh salad with grilled meat: it’s
barbecue time outdoor*. We go to the beach, and we enjoy* an ice-cream.

- What is autumn like?

This is autumn *and it’s rainy and cloudy and quite* cold. It’s also windy. In
October we celebrate Halloween: it’s creepy! There are dead leaves on the
ground.
*Autumn (British) = fall (US)

-What is winter like?

It’s winter and it’s snowy and freezing. The sky is often grey. Children build
snowmen and snowballs. Christmas is in December, and we have a lot gifts /
presents.
 What is / are your favourite season(s) ? Why ?
My favourite seasons are spring and summer because it’s warm and hot. I can
play in the garden, and I can go to the beach and swim in the sea. I wear light
clothes. I see new animals.
My favourite seasons are autumn and winter because it’s not hot, it’s cool and
cold. I like playing with dead leaves and jump in puddles*. I like when it is rainy
so I can wear my raincoat*. When it’s winter it’s freezing but I can build a
snowman and play snowball fights* with my friends. I also like winter because
in December I have a lot of presents for Christmas.
