whole. About the former group, they would have a lower chance to get a well-paid job
because they can not compete with their counterparts when applying for good jobs. The
majority of the jobs available in the contemporary market require people to be able to read
and write. As a result, their only option to make money is labor-intensive jobs such as
builders or maids which usually provide them with low salaries and they are easy to be
treated by their employer. Regarding the latter group, high illiteracy rate will restrain the
development of a nation. There will not be enough brain workers to develop a nation in
various aspects. For this reason, these countries will have to depend on financial support from
developed countries and be politically bound.

There are several actions that could be taken to solve the problems. Firstly, the government
should make education compulsory for all students ranging from primary schools to
secondary schools. Nine years of formal education will allow people to perceive knowledge
both inside and outside of their country, and be able to work for many positions that do not
require much brainpower. Therefore, this will lessen the burden placed on the state budget,
allowing governments to have more funds to invest in their national facilities. Secondly, the
government should invest more funds to provide scholarships or high money prizes to
encourage students who cannot afford to go to school so that they have more motivation to do
so and have more chances to secure a good job.

should take full responsibility for this problem, I personally think that parents also play an
important role in creating the issue.
On the one hand, some people believe that the government is the one to blame for.
Nowadays, children have to spend a lot of time staying at school but their curriculum does
not have too much time for sessions related to healthcare. For this reason, the government
should cut off some unnecessary subjects at school to make time for healthcare sessions. In
these sessions, children will be educated about dangers of consuming unhealthy types of food
and obesity. As a result, children are less likely to consume unhealthy food in the future.

On the other hand, I think that parents should also take responsibility for this problem.
Because children spend most of their time at home so parents should supervise carefully and
limit them from eating so many junk foods which have fat and sugar. Parents should spend
more time preparing healthy food at home for their kids to prevent them from overweight.
When preparing food at home, parents can know the source of the food and understand the
nutrition of that food which makes their kids healthier.

In conclusion, although governments possess efficient tools to deal with the increasing rate of
obesity among children, I believe that it is parents’s duty to tackle this issue to help their
children have better lifestyles.

It is a common belief among individuals nowadays that living independently is necessary for
people to find a good job. In my opinion, the merits of this trend outweigh its drawbacks.

Leaving far away from home makes people suffer from severe homesickness. Because the
difference in cultural beliefs will make people who live far away from home feel isolated. As
a result, their work productivity leads to job loss. In addition, people may not have the same
experience when engaging in face-to-face interaction with their beloved ones. When living
far from home for work, the only way of communication for them is to use social media or
video calls. These means of communication can not give people a sense of intimacy like they
normally have with real-life conversations.

Although this trend has some drawbacks, the merits outweigh its demerits. Staying in
metropolitan areas increases the chance of getting a well-paid job because in densely-
populated areas, people’s demand is often higher, which gives rise to the variety of job
opportunities there. This explains why an increasing number of university graduates opt for
settling down in big cities after they finish university there. Moreover, people increasingly

it. For example, many Asian families usually teach their children to study as hard as they can
so that they can easily secure a well-paid job in the future. As a result, upon accomplishing
their dreams, children can achieve a sense of self-fulfillment. Moreover, the role of valuing
hard work goes beyond being a mere source of motivation. It can also help children to
