Hi! Thanks for downloading this worksheet to help you come up with 100
ideas for your printable or POD shop. Whether you’re already making money
selling printables or you’re brand new to this and thinking you might want to
start a shop soon, this will help you come up with a constant stream of new
content ideas for printable products like wall art. It's also perfect if you sell
print-on-demand products like t-shirts, mugs, and other gift-able items.
If you’ve spent any time reading fellow Etsy seller’s experiences, you’ve likely
heard that 100 listings is the “magic number” to consistent sales. While I
won’t say that there is a guaranteed magic number to shop success, I will
agree for one reason: the more items you have in your shop, the more likely
you are to be found amongst the crowd of 45 MILLION products currently
for sale in the Etsy marketplace.
If getting 100 products sounds daunting, don’t be discouraged. This exercise
will help you come up with 100 creative ideas by starting with popular quotes
and phrases related to your niche. Once you come up with a list of ideas, you
can create stylish designs in Canva and pair your quotes with graphic
elements, illustrations, or patterns. My favorite place to find graphic design
elements is on Creative Fabrica.
One last tip: Don’t doubt your ability to make high-quality, sellable designs.
Remember that less is more. A lot of people have the misconception that
designs have to be elaborate and complex in order to sell. That’s not true at
all - you never know when someone just wants a simple, modern quote to
print as a poster or complement their gallery wall.

Let’s start with the niche you’re going to be focusing on in your shop. Your
niche can be any topic that has a passionate fan base - fashion, sports,
politics, food, etc.
For this sample exercise, I’ll say my niche is food.
Next, I’m going to write down 10-15 more specific topics (sub-niches)
related to my broader niche (you can type them out in your Notes app, or if
you prefer writing ideas down, you can fill out the next pages of
worksheets).

From here, Google each of your sub-niches like this:
“Taco quotes”
“Taco phrases”
This will bring up a variety of quotes, puns, and common phrases you can
use as inspiration to create your designs. Jot down some of your favorites
(make sure to check for trademarks if you’re worried it’s a trademarked
quote or phrase). Use the next fill-in-the-blank page to come up with some
unique phrases of your own.
