ACTIVITY COMPLETION REPORT

The "Matatag Curriculum" implemented by the Department of Education (DepEd)
in the Philippines aims to provide a robust and responsive educational framework that
equips learners with the necessary competencies to thrive in the 21st century. This
curriculum is designed to be holistic, inclusive, and learner-centered, focusing on the
development of key skills, values, and knowledge essential for success in various aspects
of life.
The teacher in the 21st century is an important member of society with extensive
knowledge and skills in teaching, technology, and child development. Teachers are not
only conveyors of concepts and skills, but they are also facilitators of students'
development in various aspects of their lives.
In today's era, teachers are expected to be adept at using modern technology to
enhance their teaching and deliver engaging and meaningful learning experiences. They
become advocates for openness to different cultures and beliefs, teaching respect and
understanding for diversity.
In addition to traditional teaching skills, teachers today also need to have the
ability to teach critical thinking, problem-solving, and adapting to the challenges of
societal and technological changes. They also become advocates for environmental
awareness, responsible citizenship, and strengthening students' leadership skills.
Overall, the teacher in the 21st century is a promoter of knowledge, development,
and societal change, playing a crucial role in shaping the future.
