The BOEING Company – BGS / BDS, St Louis (Hazelwood / Berkeley), MO
Structural - Stress Analyst (multiple groups / programs)
2/2013 – 11/2023
Strength analysis support of the F-15 fighter jet metallic fuselage for approximately two years. Traveled to visit
South Korea supplier at KIA for engineering support. Transitioned to the F-18 fighter jet group to provide strength
support on fuselage and wing parts / assemblies based for shop tags on part / assemblies defects (blends, hole
oversizing, dents, scratches). Strength analysis covered either fighter front fuselage or wing structures that are
made of metallic or composite components. Similarly, worked on multiple projects for design modifications and
engineering analysis to substantiate certification structural requirements. Got involved remotely with other projects
like provide analysis to support Structural Repair Manuals (SRM) for the P-8 program (767 model). Provided
engineering support the new president airplane VC-25B (747 model interior). Loaned to other engineering groups
to help with shop tag support on the metallic fuselage of the MQ-25 re-fueling drone. MRB support is also part of
the stress related activities during the shop disposition of a typical tag. Other MRB applications included fastener
substitutions.
The BOEING Company, BCA, Wichita, KS - Mukilteo, WA
Structural - Stress Analyst (767 Tanker group)
2/2011 – 2/2013
Provide stress support for the fuel tanker aircraft, non pressurized fuselage, in the areas of primary structure such
as skins and stringers. Provide stress analysis and strength check notes to support new design layouts or existing
structural modifications. Participated in Domestic Temporary Assignment at Mukilteo, WA (2011 – 2012) to
interface with structural engineers specializing in commercial FAA requirements and certifications. Computer skills
include usage of Boeing’s software (Moss Duberg) for skin stringer sizing.
The BOEING Company, Wichita, KS
Structural - Stress Analyst, (707 Tanker group - Refueling Support Systems)
8/2007 – 2/2011
Provide stress support related to material substitutions for the fuel tanker aircraft spares group in the areas of
fuselage, wing, tail and refueling boom. Respond to diverse engineering tasks related to supplier fabrication tags,
part redesign or material substitutions. Coordinate with damage tolerance engineering group for the disposition of
critical parts. Additional tasks included MRB support to reflect part material substitutions from forging or casting to
plate machining. Other MRB applications included fastener substitutions.
Spirit AeroSystems, Inc., Wichita, KS
Structural - Stress Analyst (767 and 777 Section 41 - Sustaining Group)
6/2006 – 8/2007
Approve and review repair proposals for the primary fuselage structure on 767 and 777 airplanes. Structural
analysis includes static, fatigue and damage tolerance substantiation for skin, stringers, frames, floor beams and
bulkheads that conform to Boeing and FAA regulations. Provide technical support to design group based on new
design changes and modifications.
The BOEING Company, Wichita, KS
Structural - Stress Analyst, (Structural Technology Group, 737/767)
4/2003 – 6/2006
Create strength check notes (SCN) to validate new structural design and re-substantiate existing structure for the
mid fuselage pressurized section of the 737-900ER airplane. Sign off new design drawings and communicate to
designers any structural changes which conform to the ultimate and fatigue analysis. Respond to customer
telexes and support 767 repair requests. Determine structural integrity of aircraft structural assemblies and its
related components for the front fuselage of the airplane. Review design drawings and submit relevant stress and
structural analysis according to load paths and load distributions. Develop standard analytical calculations using
classical hand computations to support the finite element analysis.
ASML, Thermal Systems, Orange, CA
Mechanical Engineer (design & analysis - semi-conductor business),
7/1999 – 2/2002
Performed design-engineering tasks including process development and integration, equipment evaluation and
design modification for the semi-conductor wafer processing technology (low volume production and each
machine has its own customer unique specification in terms of process and configuration).
The BOEING Company, Huntington Beach, CA
Structural - Stress Analyst, (Space Station Division, temp / contractor)
10/1996 – 7/1998
Provided structural analysis and documentation for assemblies as mounted on the international space station.
Reports were presented during preliminary and critical design reviews.
Oct 1994 - Aug 1996 Mechanical Liaison Engineer
Electro Industries, Saudi Arabia (contractor)
Provided technical support to the manufacturing department (parts fabricated at a high production rate). Approved
structural and stress analysis to produce steel roof structures. Designed and modified steel and plastic
components for telephone cabinets. Communicated with internal machine shop personnel to recommend and
record any deviations from released design drawings and assist in setting up tooling processes especially in the
milling operations and laser cutting operations.
MAR 1994 - June 1994 Mechanical Engineer
Hughes-Power Control Systems, Torrance, CA
Prepared engineering reports and provided a laboratory setup of the air-conditioning system. Performed testing
and thermal evaluation for the air conditioning system of an electric vehicle. Teamed with internal machine shop
personnel to build a laboratory bench type air conditioning model made from purchased components and custom-
made parts.
Oct 1992 - Feb 1993 Mechanical Engineer
Hydrodyne, Burbank, CA
Analyzed metallic bellows and seals to be used in aerospace applications. Validated engineering analysis with
laboratory tests. Prepared engineering report which would be submitted for client review.
