TECHNICAL INFORMATION
Imacol® C3G Liquid
Imacol C3G liq
A highly effective lubricant especially developed for cellulosic fibres alone and in blends with other
fibres as well as for wool and silk.
reduces both fibre-fibre and fibre-metal friction in all stages of textile processing
changes the flow behaviour of the bath so that a liquor film is formed on the surface of the
goods which promotes sliding down of the fabric
is effective over a wide pH and temperature region
does not impair the fastness properties of the dyeings
is non-foaming

2. Application properties
Imacol C3G liq acts in two ways:
it migrates into the fibres; this imparts sliding properties to the yarns in knit and woven fabrics so
that fibre-fibre and fibre-metal friction is reduced
it changes the flow behaviour of the bath so that a liquor film forms on the surface of the goods
which promotes plaiting down of the material and prevents the formation of creases and chafe
marks.
So far no retarding action and impairment of the fastness have been observed when dyeing with
direct, reactive, sulphur, vat and acid dyes.
In dyeing wool Imacol C3G liq reduces drastically the felting of the fibres.
3. Application
Imacol C3G liq is applied in
scour boiling and bleaching
fluorescent brightening
dyeing
aftertreatment and/or finishing
of piece goods (woven and knit) of cellulosic fibres and blends of cellulosic fibres with synthetic fibres
as well as for wool and silk.
3.1 Machines
Imacol C3G liq can be applied on all fully and partially flooded pretreatment and dyeing machines,
regardless of the liquor ratio.
3.2 Applicable amounts
Add at the beginning of treatment
0.5 – 2 g/l Imacol C3G liq
The applicable amount depends on the substrate and machine. As a rule optimum sliding effects are
achieved with 1 g/l Imacol C3G liq.
Before addition to the machine the required amount of Imacol C3G liq is preferably predissolved with
water, e.g. in the addition tank.
Imacol C3G liq can advantageously be used at all stages of the processing.
