Introduction

This module will help you understand and realize the multifaceted roles of a teacher as a curricularist in the classroom
and the school.

A curricularist is a professional who is a curriculum expert or a curriculum specialist.

-As a result of the study, it was discovered that the majority of teachers were doing their best to
improve the learning process of the students. It was also discovered that teachers observed and
assessed whether or not their pupils were learning, and they adapted their work in the classroom to
meet their students' needs. The teachers in the poll are looking for additional ways to improve
teaching and learning in the classroom.

Abstraction

Teachers do series of interrelated actions about the curriculum, instruction, assessment, evaluation, teaching and
learning. A classroom teacher is involved with curriculum continuously all day. But very seldom has a teacher been described
as curricularist. Curricularist in the past, are referred only those who developed curriculum theories. In this lesson, we will
start using the word curricularist to describe a professional who is a curriculum specialist. A person who is involved in
curriculum knowing (Knower), writing (writer), planning (planner), implementing (implementor), evaluating (evaluator),
innovating (innovator), and initiating (initiator) is designated as curricularist,

The seven different roles of a curricularist are those which a responsible teacher does in the classroom every day!
Teacher as a curriculum writer may use several teaching strategies and learning activities in each procedure to ensure the
success of instruction. Teachers need to respond to the learning needs of the students and align their teaching styles to the
learning styles of the students.
