SPECIALIST(FTS)/PART TIME SPECIALIST(PTS) ON CONTRACT BASIS FOR
ESIC HOSPITAL, TINSUKIA, ASSAM
Applications are invited for recruitment to the posts of Full Time Specialist/ Part Time Specialist for ESIC Hospital,
Tinsukia.

Age:
For Full Time Specialist-Age not to exceed 69 years as on date of interview (as per Office Memorandum
no.U13/14/38/2020-Med.I (ESIC/SC) dated 01-09-2021). (Age Relaxation for SC/ST/OBC and all others as per
Central Government Rule). (No age relaxation would be available to SC/ST/OBC candidate applying for unreserved
vacancies.) For Part Time Specialist-Age not to exceed 69 years as on date of interview (as per Office Memorandum
no.U13/14/38/2020-Med.I (ESIC/SC) dated 01-09-2021).
Tenure of Contract:
1) For FTS- One year on contract or till regular incumbent joins, whichever is earlier. The Contract will be extendable
for a further period of 02 (Two) more years based on satisfactory performance.
2) For PTS- One year on contract from the date of joining or till regular incumbent joins, whichever is earlier.
Qualification:
MBBS with PG Degree or equivalent/ PG Diploma in concerned specialty from recognized university and registered
with Medical Council of India/ State Medical Councils.
Experience:
PG Degree with 3 years experience or PG Diploma with 5 years experience in respective specialty after PG.
Consolidated remuneration: 1) Full Time Specialist: Rs 1,00,000/- (Rupees One lakh) only per month. 2) Part Time
Specialist: Rs 60,000/- (Rupees Sixty thousand) only per month.
a) Charges for Emergency visit, if willing: Rs 15,000/-(Rupees Fifteen thousands),
b) Additional Remuneration beyond 16 hours/week: Rs 800/- for every additional hour. *Additional hours of work is
to be justified by Medical Superintendent.

1) Full Time Specialist: Working hours: 09.00 AM to 04.00 PM on week days and 09.00 AM to 01.00 PM on
Saturdays. Should make emergency visit as and when it is required.
2) Part Time Specialist: Working hours: 04 hours a day for 04 days in a week.
General instructions:
1. The recruitments will be purely on contractual basis and selected candidates will have no claim for regularization
of the service in the hospital.
2. Private practices of any kind will not be allowed for full time contractual engagements.
3. ESI Corporation may increase or decrease or cancel filling up of any or all the post without assigning any reasons at
the discretion of the Appointing Authority.
4. No TA/DA will be paid to the candidates for appearing in the interview.
5. Canvassing in any form shall be disqualification.
6. Hostel accommodation/ quarters will not be provided.
7. The candidate who is in service should submit “No Objection Certificate” from the employer at the time of
interview.
8. The posts are contractual and the contractual engagement may be terminated/ discontinued by either side giving
one month prior notice to this effect without assigning any reason.
9. The decision of the Selection Board will be final on all aspects of selection and no further correspondence will be
entertained under any circumstances.
10. The Selection is subject to the candidates proving their medical fitness.
11. In case of selection, OFFER OF APPOINTMENT will be issued as per requirement.
12. The selected candidates will have to furnish a DD/Bankers Cheque for an amount of Rs. 30,000/- (Rupees Thirty
Thousand only) drawn in favour of “ESI Fund Account No. 1” payable at Guwahati, towards security deposit.
13. If the selected candidates resigns/terminates his/her contract within 09 months of commencement of the
contract with or without prior notice, the amount of Rs. 30,000/- deposited as security money will be forfeited.
14. If no candidate turns up for the post of FTS, then PTS will be preferred.
Terms and conditions applicable to Full Time Specialists (Contractual):
1. Specialists shall be recruited for a period of 3 (three) years with annual evaluation and term renewed every year
based on satisfactory performance.
2. Private practice will not be allowed.
3. Available on call 24x7.
4. The specialist shall be responsible for all cases undergoing treatment under his supervision in his discipline.
5. He/ She will be entitled for the leave @ 04 days for each month of work on pro-rata basis in a calendar year. In the
event, the specialist prefers not to avail the leave, the same may be encashed to a maximum limit of 30 days/year.
6. The selected specialist must have a professional indemnity policy which should cover the period as desired by
ESIC. The policy is meant to cover the professional liability falling on them as a result of errors and omissions
committed by them while rendering professional services. The minimum sum assured per annum should be
a) Rs 30 lakhs for Anaesthesiologists, Cardiac Surgeons, Neuro Surgeons, Plastic Surgeons etc.
b) Rs 20 lakhs for General Surgeons, Gynaecologists, Obstetricians etc.
c) Rs 10 lakhs for Physicians Dentists, Radiologists, Pathologists, Chest (Pulmonologists) etc.
A copy of the Insurance & Premium Receipt must be submitted within 7 days from the date of engagement.
Terms and conditions applicable to Part Time Specialists (Contractual):
1. Period of contract will be one year from the date of joining.
2. Minimum working hours will be 16 per week (4 days x 4 hours per week)
3. He/She will not be entitled for any kind of leave or benefits.

4. Available on call 24x7 if he/she is drawing emergency call charges.

All eligible and interested candidates may appear for walk-in-interview along with all the testimonials in original and
their one self-attested copy as per schedule of “Walk-in-interview” on the date & time mentioned against their
respective specialty.
Documents Required:-
1. Age Proof (Class 10th certificate/Birth certificate)
2. MBBS Certificate.
3. Two Recent Passport size Photographs.
4. Caste Certificate for SC/ST/OBC & I&A Certificate for EWS candidates. OBC candidates are required to submit
latest OBC Certificate as per Central Govt. Proforma, not more than One year old from the date of interview. No
relaxation/reservation would be applicable to SC/ST/OBC/EWS candidate applying for unreserved vacancies.)
5. PG Degree/ Diploma Certificate.
6. MCI/SMC Registration Certificate with MD/MS/DNB qualification.
7. No Objection Certificate from present employer, if applicable. No candidate will be allowed to appear in the
interview without NOC from his employer (Also applicable for Doctors under Bond).
8. Experience Certificate, if applicable
Venue of Interview: Tentatively ESIC Hospital , Tinsukia,Sector-2,Bordoloi Nagar,Tinsukia,Assam-786125. However,
venue may change based on the number of applicants received.
Reporting Time for Document verification: 09:00 am to 09:30 am.
