1.0 INTRODUCTION
In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, Most Merciful. All praises to Allah
s.w.t, the Almighty Creator who has created this universe for us. As we are all aware,
public speaking is a very important skill that students need especially in continuing
the legacy of dakwah of Prophet Muhammad S.A.W. The excellent skills in dakwah
can entice more people to be more deeply interested in learning Islam. Hence, the
Dakwah and Tarbiyah Bureau of Imaratul Masjid 23/24 has taken the initiative to
create a platform called “Young Dai’e” for students of CFS IIUM to improve their
dakwah technique and public speaking skills by giving them an opportunity to deliver
their speech, knowledge and opinion in front of the others. This initiative also can
enhance student’s language proficiency and communication skills that can benefit
the ummah. The tazkirah session will be held twice a week on Monday and Thursday
at the main entrance of CFS IIUM Mosque before iftar ceremony. This tazkirah will
be delivered by one representatives from academic-based society. The
representative can either use English or Malay language. Every speaker will be
given 8 to 10 minutes to deliver their tazkirah on any topic that will be pre-approved
by the advisors of this programme. All in all, we hope that this initiative can
encourage people to be a better version of themselves, and that they may help in
spreading Islam to others, be it in the Muslim community or the larger global
community.
