Camarines Sur is a province in the Philippines situated in the Bicol Region

occupying the southeastern peninsula of Luzon and the outlying island

provinces of Masbate and Catanduanes.. Its capital is the Municipality of
Pili. The province has a land area of 5,511.90 square kilometers or 2,128.16
square miles.

The population of Camarines Sur grew from 193,902 in 1903 to 2,068,244 in 2020, an increase
of 1,874,342 people over the course of 117 years. The latest census figures in 2020 denote a
positive growth rate of 1.22%, or an increase of 115,700 people, from the previous population
of 1,952,544 in 2015.
Current population of Males and Females is Males, 1,046,448. Females, 1,015,829. Females.

Combining age groups together, those aged 14 and below, consisting of the young dependent
population which include infants/babies, children and young adolescents/teenagers, make up
an aggregate of 36.35% (709,724). Those aged 15 up to 64, roughly, the economically active
population and actual or potential members of the work force, constitute a total of 58.70%
(1,146,051). Finally, old dependent population consisting of the senior citizens, those aged 65
and over, total 4.96% (96,769) in all.
