STEP 1.
Configure MPOS
In SAP EASY ACCESS ---> APO--->Demand Planning--->Enivronment----> /SAPAPO/MSDP_Admin
1. Select Planning Object Structure
2. Right Click on it
3. Give a Name, for eg; DP Demo_POS
Add a short description: It is a test planning….
4. Look for CHARACTERSTICS starts with 9A
9A is a Standard Char
Anything that starts with Z (X,Y) - Customized
5. SAVE
Inactive
Active
How to activate if status is inactive?
a) Click on the POS name: DP Demo_POS
b) F5
c)Activate Icon - a Stick with 3 stars

NOTE: Once you create MPOS, it can not be changed.
STEP 2. Configure Planning Area
Note: Right after we configure MPOS, we need a planning area for key figures

3. Give a Name, for eg; Demo_PA

Storage Bucket Profile- Demo_SBP
Units of Measure - KG ENTER/Continue..

Click on a Key Figure, Select Key Figures

Go BACK to Planning Area
Right Click on Planning Area
Go to CREATE TIME SERIES OBJECTS

Time Period
Start Date - End Date
When Click on Execute Icon (Green Tick Mark with a Clock)
It will result in an Error - No CHAR Combination available
Go BACK to MPOS/POS- Planning Object Structure
Right Click on MPOS
Create CHAR Combinations
Create Manually
Make relevent Selections
Once done,
EXECUTE or F8
Target Planning Object Structure
COPY the date from the excel or access files and paste here
Note: No SAVE option will be available
Look for GENERATE Combination icon Click on it
Go BACK to Planning Area
Right click on CREATE TIME
Enter Planning Area - DP Demo_PA
Planning Version - '000
Time Period
EXECUTE or F8
