New software version 6.0 for battery tester BAT 131 (EMEA)!
Affected:
BAT 131 EMEA (0 684 400 731, BX: 0 682 666 039) and (0 684 400 734, BX: 0 682 666 045)

Software version 6.0 is no longer provided for NAFTA (0 684 400 732) and AP/LA (0 684 400 733; BX: 0 682 666 041) variants.

Changes (also see software overview in EDIS):


 Introduction of "Other" selection for EFB batteries. Input of battery parameter "cold start current" required.
 Reduction of direct selection of EFB batteries for motor vehicles to the most commonly used versions.

Update:
The new software version 6.0 will be made available on EDIS at 'DL:\edis\software\systemsw\bat131\emea_731_734\v6.0'.

Procedure:
1. Copy the files EEPM214J.BAT, FIRM236J.BAT and FLSH169J.BAT from the corresponding EDIS folder or, if the software has been
downloaded, from the "V6.0 MDX J2" folder of the ZIP file into the root directory of a USB 2.0 stick (connector type A; formatting FAT;
free memory min. 2 MB).
2. Connect the BAT 131 to a charged 12 V battery.
3. Switch on the BAT 131.
4. Insert the USB stick in the USB port of the BAT 131.
5. If the data (measurement results) are to be retained, save them under the menu "EXPORT / CLEAR DATA. >> EXPORT DATA".

 The data (measurement results) are transferred to the USB stick.

6. Then select "SETTINGS >> UPDATE >> FIRMWARE" in the menu.

 The message "SOFTWARE WILL BE CHANGED. DO YOU WANT TO CONTINUE" is displayed.

7. Start installation by pressing: .


 Installation is performed.
The software is subsequently updated for EEPROM, SERIAL FLASH and FIRMWARE of the BAT 131.

After updating from version 2.0 to version 6.0, it is necessary to reenter and set the workshop data (workshop address and language), the
date, the time and the unit.
After updating from version 3.0, 4.0 or 5.0 to version 6.0, all settings (workshop address, language, date, time, etc.) are restored.

8. Press to exit the BAT 131.


 This completes the software update.
