Fluid Mechanics Fluid Dynamics PDF

The document discusses fluid dynamics and relative equilibrium of fluids under translation and rotation. It provides equations to analyze horizontal and vertical translation of a fluid mass subjected to constant acceleration, deriving relationships between pressure, weight, acceleration, and depth for a fluid particle.

3. Fluid Dynamics
3.1 Relative Equilibrium of Fluid
FLUID The subject deals with fluid masses excited by constant acceleration. The assumption is

that each fluid particle is in equilibrium and at rest relative to every other particle in the
fluid and to the containing vessel is neither in equilibrium nor at rest relative to the
earth.
