A. Greetings
Good morning class!
Good morning, Sir.
Please be guided by our classroom rules.

 Raise your hand before you speak.

 Work quietly and do not disturb others.
 Listen when others are speaking.
 Keep all cellphones inside your bag and
keep it in a silent mode.
 Participate actively.

b. Prayer
Before we start our lesson, let’s put ourselves in
the presence of the Lord.
May I call on Emmanuel to lead a prayer?

Dear Lord and Father of all, Thank you for

today. Thank you for the ways in which you
provide for us all. For Your protection and
love we thank you. Help us to focus our
hearts and minds now on what we are about
to learn. Inspire us by Your Holy Spirit as
we listen and write. Guide us by your
eternal light as we discover more about the
world around us. We ask all this in the
name of Jesus. Amen.

c. Checking of attendance None Sir.

Who is absent today?

Ok, very good, nice to hear that class.

f. Analysis
Okay, class we will go to our lesson. Our lesson
for today is all about Prepare Unit, Tools, and
Workplace for Installation and service.

Ok class what are the tools and Materials in

Maintaining Electronically Controlled Washing
Machine

Arnaldo, can you read the meaning of the first

material.
Soldering Iron- A soldering iron is a hand
tool used in soldering, a process where two
or more metal items are joined together by
melting and flowing a filler metal (solder)
into the joint. The soldering iron itself
typically consists of a heated metal tip,
which is used to heat the solder and the
parts being joined.

Thankyou Arnaldo
Alfie kindly read the meaning of the second
material. Soldering Stand- a soldering stand is an
indispensable tool for anyone who regularly
works with soldering irons. It enhances
safety, efficiency, and convenience, making
soldering tasks more manageable and
enjoyable.

Thankyou Alfie

Emanuel kindly read the meaning of the third Multimeter: It is Essential for
part. troubleshooting electrical issues,
multimeter helps check voltage, continuity,
and resistance in components like motors,
switches, and control boards.

Thank you, Emanuel.

Engelica, can you read the meaning of the
fourth part. Cleaning Supplies: Regular cleaning is
crucial for maintaining performance and
preventing mold or mildew buildup. Mild
detergent, vinegar, or specialized washing
machine cleaner may be needed for
cleaning the drum, detergent dispenser, and
rubber door gasket.

Very Good Angelica

Exequiel, can you read the meaning of the fifth
part.
Lint Brush or Vacuum: Removing lint and
debris from areas like the lint trap and drain
pump filter prevents clogs and ensures
efficient drainage. A lint brush or vacuum
with a hose attachment is handy for this
task.

Thank you Exequiel,

John Rey the last part

Protective Gear/ PPE: Wear appropriate

protective gear like gloves and safety
glasses when working on the washing
machine to prevent injury.

Drum serves as a washing tub.
Thankyou Ryan
Precious what is water supply.
Water Supply Hose is an inlet of water.

Very good Precious

Ramon, can you read the last Part.
Tub is a drum-like component in which
water, clothes and soap are put
together prior to washing/spinning

Thankyou Ramon
Now may we go to our next topic about Block
Diagram of Electronically Controlled Washing
Machine

Madelyn, can you read the meaning of power

controller.

Power Controller- is a circuit that controls

the amount of power supplied to the motor.

Thankyou Madelyn
Now may we go to the meaning of Sensor?
Who wants to read it? Sir

Yes Arnaldo Sensor- is an input receiver that detects

input signal coming from forward and
reverse motor. It detects any abnormality of
the operation for automatic shut off.

Thankyou Arnaldo
What is Program Selection Control Sir

Yes, Angelica, can you please read it? Program Selection Control- is a set of push
button switch that set the operation required
of the washing machine. This circuit has a
timing sequence to be selected as low,
medium, or high depending on how long
and type of fabric to be washed.

Thankyou Angelica
How about Comparator?
Can you please read it Lester? Comparator- is a processing circuit that
accepts the input signal coming from sensor
and program selection control. This
enables/ disables a sequence of commands
for the power controller.

Thankyou Lester
Now may we go to Forward/Reverse Motor
Can you please read it Alfie? Forward/Reverse Motor- is an electric
machine which changes applied electrical
energy or power into mechanical output
energy or power.
Thankyou Alfie
How about Input Command Input Command - is a setting period of the
Can you please read it Jery Rico? user.

Thankyou Jery Rico

Now may we go to AC Plug

Can you read the last part of Block Diagram of
Electronically Controlled Washing Machine
Ramon? Buzzer- is an audio/ sound signal device to
confirm or indicate that task programmed,
or set is done, or a problem occurred. This
may be mechanical, electromechanical, or
piezoelectric.

Thankyou Ramon.

Remember class that the other parts and their

function are:
Timer Control-is a special clock mechanism or
motor operated device used to perform.
switching operations at predetermined time
intervals.
Water Level Control- is a dial used to manage
the quantity of water needed.
Wash Selector- is used to choose the task to be
done.
Water Supply Hoses- is an access for water
supply.
Drain Hose- is an outlet for the water to be
dispensed.
Water Inlet Valve- is used to allow or stop water
to flow.

Off-Balance Switch- is used to shut the washer

off to protect the washer if load is unbalanced.
Water Filter- is used to take out dirt from water
by means of a fine physical barrier.
Spin Pulley- is used to transmit power from the
electric motor to spin assembly.
Spin Assembly- is used to control the power at
the transmission.
Water Pump- is used to push the water out of the
unit.
Water Hose- is a passageway out of the water.

And now our last topic is Basic Concept of

Electronic Control.
Can you read the first part Vincent? Electronic control is also referred as
electronic regulation that is done to an
appliance, situation or load by electronic
devices. Domestic appliances are
commonly controlled directly or manually
using electrical switches and timers. In
electronic devices, transformer is
commonly used not just to reduce the
supply voltage (220VAC) but also
to isolate the load from the power source.
To apply this safety feature to domestic
appliance, a device (electrically or
electronically operated) is needed. Relay
and triac is just an example of devices that
can be used.

Very good Vincent

How about Relay?
Who wants to read it? Sir

Yes Mary Grace A relay is an electrically operated switch.

Various relays use an electromagnet to
mechanically operate a switch, but other
operating principles are also used, such as
solid-state relays. Relays are used where it
is necessary to control a circuit by a
lowpower signal or where several circuits
must be controlled by one signal.

Very Good Mary Grace
