good thing. In fact, some people believe it can lead to more difficult problems. Do you agree or

disagree?

3
Step 2 Pre-writing Strategy and Thesis Statement

Choose the prewriting strategy you liked the most. Use it to generate ideas about the chosen

topic like we did in Task 2. Share your prewriting strategy in the forum.

My prewriting strategy is:

Freewriting: Free write on the assignment or general topic for five to ten minutes non-stop

It is not secret that we have all want to success at least once in our lives. There are several

situations that make us create purposes to rich our goals and deceive others, however, some of

these plans of being successful can generate stress, anguish, or pain, in the short or long term.

Therefore, it is important to reflect onour actions beforehand and to understand and understand

others. On the other hand, when we try to success in academic or work settings, it is important

to recognize that we are only conditioning ourselves and this will have long-term repercussions.

For example, when we want to excel and achieve success by meeting strict societal standards, we run

the risk of losing ourselves and not being able to enjoy every essential part of life even when this means

losing as many times as necessary to learn.

Based on your prewriting strategy, write a tentative thesis statement for the chosen
topic and three topic sentences that you could use for paragraphs in a rough draft.
Share it in the forum, too.

Thesis Statement
Being successful has positive and negative
points.
Topic sentence 1 Human beings have always wanted to be
successful
Topic sentence 2 To succeed is a subjective action
Topic sentence 3 We cannot live in a society that only spouts
successful actions

4
Step 3 Outline and 5-paragraph rough draft essay

With the information from Step 2, create an outline and post it in the forum. Once you have

done it, write a 5-paragraph rough draft essay that includes an introduction paragraph, 3 body

paragraphs and the conclusion paragraph about the chosen topic like we did in Task 3.

Human beings have always

5-paragraph rough draft essay

Human Being has desired success since prehistoric times. Humans used success to
stand out in society, especially to show the skills they excelled in hunting and mating. From
this perspective, success was seen to highlight clan skills and a necessity to climb socially.
Therefore, wanting to succeed is justified in some situations and not in others. Today being
successful can be considered morally wrong in some life situations, especially if it is found to
be done from a narcissistic point of view. Well, for some it means to be successful, for
another not, because it depends on the determining perspective of said meaning.

Being successful is a subjective action that can be a way to escape from various life
situations. For example, when a person doesn't study for a test and cheats, it's a way to avoid
getting a bad grade, even if they risk getting caught. This leads to the use of incorrect actions
that lead to "success" at the cost of the use of bad actions such as lies. For instance, there are
several ways to achieve success, for example, when we strive to achieve our dreams in a
balanced way, enjoying the process, accepting the decisions we make even when they lead us
to be wrong at times, this can be defined as a balanced structure of the success. On the other
hand, there is the desire to achieve success even at the cost of our own peace, above our values,
and above the value of others, this is considered a harmful practice of anti-value to achieve it,
which ends up excluding it of its meaning and classifying it in an antonym.

It is important to keep in mind that what for some means to be successful for others is
not. It seems that success itself is limited to individual beliefs and value judgments as well as
cultural and societal standards. Well, if for someone being successful means having fame and
money for others it will mean having life, family, and health. Although the consumerist society
emphasizes and teaches us that it is only who has the first description.

On the other hand, we cannot live in a society that only spouts successful actions, it is necessary
to make mistakes and learn from them, to achieve success in interpersonal relationships. Make
some sacrifices can be justified, lies with an altruistic purpose that does not harm the other
person.

6
Work hard for being successful is something common in our lives, sometimes we do so because
we want to reach our dreams. However, it is important to consider and analyze the situation
beforehand, to investigate if the person really wants to be deceived or has the capacity to bear
the success. Finally, it is important to work on the ability to accept our mistakes and be
responsible for our actions, enjoying the learning path of our lives.

Step 4 Checklist

Deeply revise your essay to improve it using the checklist from Task 4. Share this revision in
