You should describe how you intend to record

be reflective and analytical rather than a
description of actions completed.
When working in collaboration with others, you
should comment on how this may impact
either positively or adversely and outline the
steps you can take to minimise disruption to your own
progress.

Project action plan and timetable:
This section provides you with an opportunity to
outline your planning and organisation over a
period of weeks and the activities you will need to
carry out in order to successfully complete
your project in the agreed time frame. The more
time and thought you give to
planning your project, the more successful it is
likely to be.
It is important that you consider how you will
balance ambition, time and realism in the
realisation of the project. You should also include
what you are going to do, how you will do it
and by when. Remember to include: time spent
sourcing materials and other resources to conduct
research, feedback from tutors and peers, and
when you will carry out independent study.
Bibliography (Harvard Format):
This section provides an opportunity to record the
initial research sources, both primary and
secondary, that you intend to use.
Your sources of research should be as wide
as possible and could include libraries,
galleries, books, magazines, films, computer games,
websites, blogs, social media, radio
programmes, archive material etc. Where
appropriate, you should use the Harvard
system of referencing. The bibliography should be
continuously updated as the
project progresses.

Final major project
Section 1: Rationale
(approx. 100 words)
Throughout my time at college, I think my performance in terms of my work ethic and the
number of annotations, research, reflection, planning, and outcomes has been at a good
standard and is getting better. I can see clear improvements on my Wix and Weebly websites
from the start of my college course and the volume of writing I am doing is increasing
throughout the second year of my course and I am keeping more on top of my research and
time management for projects so I can hand in my outcome and website on the deadline with
no incomplete areas of the project.
Section 2: Project
Concept
My idea for my final major project is a traditional, American tattoo coloring book. I will be
(approx. 200 words) drawing tattoos of the traditional American style free hand and will scan them into Photoshop
to make them digital. I will then compile all the illustrations I have made and lay them out
across 12 pages, while also creating a front and back cover for the colouring book. I will then
order a couple of copies of my coloring book online so I can get my physical copy and
outcome. I wanted to create a tattoo coloring book because I feel like it is unique and different
from your standard children’s colouring book and will attract a more mature audience who
enjoy traditional tattoo designs. My target audience for this project will be between 18-40. I
feel like this age range will color in the images with care and not scribble all over the images
like younger children would, and that the designs and illustrations are more fitting with the
age range because they’re old enough to get tattoos and explore the different genres of tattoos
you can choose from. My outcome will be a physical copy of the colouring book, that I’ll
order from a website called Digital Printing (DP) where you link all the pages and the
measurements you require, and they print your book or brochures out for you. I wanted to
design this colouring book because I think that the amount of colouring books marketed
towards young adults and older, isn’t as popular as children colouring books and will help
adults and young adults focus on something that isn’t their phone or television which is a
problem in today’s society.

Section 3: Evaluation
(approx. 50 words)
Throughout this project, I will be writing weekly reflections on my Weebly to evaluate my
progress throughout. I think this will help me achieve the best outcome I possibly can and will
show me what I have to work on each week. I will evaluate whether my outcome is successful
at the end of the project by gaining peer and teacher feedback and documenting this on my
Weebly.
