Your engine is covered by the normal product war-
ranty. In addition, your engine is covered by an
emissions warranty that is specified by the U.S.
Federal Environmental Protection Agency and the
California Air Resources Board, for engines that
are confirmed in accordance with the off-road
emissions guidelines.
Warranty claims for Daimler offroad engines sold in
the USA are processed by Rolls-Royce Solution
GmbH.

the above section. If any such part fails during
the period of warranty coverage, it shall be
repaired or replaced under warranty. Any such
part, repaired or replaced, under the warranty
shall also be warranted for the remaining war-
ranty period.
R Any warranted part scheduled only for regular
inspection in the written instructions shall be
warranted for the warranty period defined in
the above section. Any statement in the written
instruction to repair or replace as necessary
shall not reduce the warranty coverage. Any
such part, repaired or replaced, under the war-
ranty shall also be warranted for the remaining
warranty period.
R Any warranted part scheduled for replacement
as required maintenance is warranted for the
period of time prior to the first scheduled
replacement point for that part. If replaced or
repaired under warranty prior to the first
scheduled replacement of that part, the new or

shall be performed at no charge to the owner

R Irrespective of the aforementioned provision,
warranty services or repairs shall be provided
at all manufacturer distribution centers that
are franchised to service the respective
engines.
R The owner shall not be charged for diagnostic
labor which leads to the determination that a
warranted part is in fact defective, provided
that such diagnostic work is performed at an
authorized repair facility.
R The engine manufacturer shall be liable for
damages to other engine components caused
by failure under warranty of any warranted
part.
R Throughout the engine’s warranty period,
Daimler Truck AG will maintain a stock of war-
ranted parts in order to meet the demand for
such parts.
R Any replacement part may be used in the per-
formance of any maintenance or repairs and
must be provided without charge to the owner.
It is not necessary for replacement parts to be
the same brand or by the same manufacturer
as the original part sold with the engine. Such
use shall not reduce the warranty obligations
of the engine manufacturer.
R Add-on or modified parts that are not exemp-
ted by the California Air Resources Board may
not be used. The use of any non-exempted
add-on or modified parts shall be grounds for
disallowing a warranty claim. Daimler Truck AG
is not liable to warrant failures of warrant parts
caused by the use of a non-exempted add-on
or modified part.
R The Executive Officer may request and, in such
cases, Daimler Truck AG shall provide, any
documents which describe the Daimler Truck
