1 Scope

1.1 MSO LICENSES

This document introduces the license features of the MorphoSmartTM device.
By default the MorphoSmartTM can match a fingerprint against 500 maximum users database. This
configuration corresponds to a default licence (installed on every MorphoSmartTM).
MorphoSmartTM licences allows to extend MorphoSmartTM recognition capabilities. These licences must be
installed in the MorphoSmartTM device to activate this feature.
This document explains how to install a licence in MorphoSmartTM using the web site or the hotline.

1.2 AVAILABLE LICENSES

Several licenses are available to enable optional features of your MorphoSmartTM device.

licenses.

The following table gives an overview of the most common licenses used on MorphoSmartTM devices.
These licenses enable to store more users into the internal database than in the standard product.

Please note that these optional features depend on the amount of flash memory the product embeds. Please

1.3 CHECKING THE LICENCE INSTALLED

1.3.1 With the Mso_Version application

You can determine the Licence installed in the MorphoSmartTM device you are using by executing the
MSO_Version.exe application. This application is available in the MorphoSmartTM SDK directory.

1.4 DETERMINING THE PRODUCT FLASH SIZE

Licenses that enable optional features depends on the amount of internal memory flash size your product
embeds.
You can determine the memory flash size of your MorphoSmartTM device by executing the
MSO_Version.exe1 application.

1.5 INSTALLING SAGEM SECURITE LICENCE MANAGER

MorphoSmart licence upgrade is done using Sagem Sécurité Licence Manager.
To install this tool on a PC, launch SagemSecurite_Licence_Protection_Installer.msi and follow the
installation procedure.

At the end of the installation you can launch Sagem Sécurité Licence Manager from the Start menu.

When installed is completed, you will be able to find more can have more help in the Sagem Sécurité Licence
Manager documentation available in the Windows Start menu.

1.6 OBTAINING YOUR MORPHOSMARTTM LICENCE ID

Before loading a licence in your MorphoSmartTM you will need the MorphoSmartTM Licence ID.

1.6.1 With the Sagem Sécurité Licence Manager

Connect the device to your computer and execute the application Licence Manager tool.
If several MorphoSmartTM are connected, select the particular device in which you want to load the licence,
Right-click and select "Copy to clipboard".

On the MorphoSmartTM package the product label reminds the Licence ID.

1.7.1 Online on SAGEM website

Copy this Id number into the license generator and choose the license you need :

Your license file will be sent to you by email.

1.9 LOADING A LICENSE IN A MORPHOSMARTTM

You have to introduce the licence data send by the web server in the dialog box (Step 2).
Connect the device to your computer and execute the application Licence Manager tool as described above.
In Licence Manager tool click on Add Licence button
A dialog box will offer two method to download the new licence.
Enter the licence text manually.

Or if your licence has been sent by email you can directly select the licence file corresponding to your
terminal: click on Browse …, select the file.

The licence is automatically downloaded in the MorphoSmart.
