Refugee Education program Management


Responsibility
Project planning, management, and oversight
 Supports the EiE activities are implemented in ways that are responsive to the
targeted communities and children, in line with EiE strategic plan;
 Identify critical issues in the implementation of the EiE program
 Monitors progress of activities and identify challenges and lessons learned from the
implementation
Budget management
 Contributes to the preparation of quarterly, bi-annual, and annual budget reports for
the program based on donors, government other stakeholder’s requirements.
 Provides inputs to periodic program and budget revisions
 Contributes to the effective and efficient utilization of the program budget and other
resources for the intended purpose.
Monitoring, evaluation and quality assurance
 Monitors the programme’s proper and efficient implementation based on the
performance monitoring plan.
 Plans and facilitates regularly scheduled reviews of program performance with
partners and stakeholders.
Partner management and capacity building
 Maintains regular communication and interaction with partners to facilitate and
promote learning and information sharing.

 Ensure targeting of beneficiaries is done according to set and agreed criteria


 Work closely with Biometrics team of the UNHCR & ARRA at camp level;
 Regularly monitor and report on food allocation, dispatch, delivery, food handling and
management and actual food distribution at FDPs;
 Collect required food security and food movement data from areas of assignment and prepare
field visit, monthly reports and submit within given deadlines;
 Participate in joint assessment missions
 Support partners to improve the quality and timeliness of reporting on food and cash budget
utilization using the standard formats such as CPDR reporting format;
 Collect and evaluate information on food security, livelihood, and cash assistance.
 Identify the needs of the most vulnerable populations;
 Engage on the market assessment, baseline, and end-line surveys for cash assistance
 Organize and supervise the implementation of identified activities (cash) in coordination with
other departments;
 Monitoring, designing sampling strategy and methodology
 preparing questionnaire data collection, data encoding, and analyzing.
 Prepare weekly, monthly, and quarterly reports for internal and external consumption.
 Plan/forecast program budget and monitor the financial utilization of the program
 Ensure that Post Distribution Monitoring (PDM) exercise is carried out on a regular basis.
 Budget follow up (BFU) regularly and ensure the utilization of allocated budget in a timely
manner to ensure accurate and effective use of funds
 Update the monthly BFU and facilitate the monthly cash needs forecast ensuring adequate funds
are available at all times.

School Feeding Management and coordination

 Manage SFP program in the Refugee camp, draw project implementation plans, assess the
progress of activities implementation against plans on a monthly basis, and document the
progress and action corrective measures as and when required.
 Provide leadership and example to the SFP staff and ensure compliance with school feeding
standard operating procedures, organizational guidelines, and policies.
 Coordinate and work in harmony with Finance, Logistics, and other program departments to
ensure that all program objectives are achieved on time to budget and in an efficient manner
 Develop detailed project/program work plans along with budget and implementation strategies.
 Ensure all activities are undertaken in accordance with WFP SP standard operation procedures,
policies, and guidelines.
 Conduct monitoring and supervision visits to the schools to ascertain program quality and
compliance with set standards.
 Producing and compiling weekly, monthly, end-of-term, and program final reports to inform
program direction. Share relevant reports as a feedback mechanism to all relevant stakeholders.
 Liaise with schools, local government, local community leaders, and other organizations to
ensure the efficient implementation of the program.
